Ld. Cornwallis introduced:

This Day Frederick Lord Cornwallis was introducted, upon a new Creation, in the usual Manner, between the Lord Robertes and the Lord Crafts: His Writ being read, he was brought to the Barons Seat, and placed next below the Lord Holles.

The King's Thanks for the Address.

The Lord Chancellor acquainted the House, "That His Majesty Yesterday expressed great Affections and Content, that both Houses so chearfully concurred with Him in the great Business of His Marriage with Portugall; and His Majesty wished his Lordship to return Thanks to this House for the same."

Bill for draining Lyndsey Level.

Hodie 1a vice lecta est Billa, "An Act for the Draining of the Level of the Fens, in the County of Lyncolne, extending itself from the River of Gleane and Bourne to Kyme Ea, as well within the Parts of Kesteven as Holland (The Eight Hundred Fenn excepted), and from the said Kyme Ea to the City of Lyncolne, and thence Westward to the Banks of Trent, commonly called Lyndsey Levell."

Lords Leave to be absent.

ORDERED, That the Lord Crafts hath Leave to be absent from his Attendance on this House, and to go into France, about Affairs of His Majesty.

ORDERED, That the Lord Clifford hath Leave to go into Ireland.

Message from H. C. about printing the Address to the King:

A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Sir William D'oyley; who brought an Order, That the Order read and presented to His Majesty Yesterday by both Houses be printed; and the Lords Concurrence be desired to the Printing hereof. Which Order was signed by the Clerk of the House of Commons.

The Lords conceived there was some Irregularity in this Order.

Order for printing it.

ORDERED, That the Consideration of this Message be referred to the Committee for Privileges; and to report to this House what they think fit to be done thereupon. And the House did further order, That the Vote of the Lords and Commons, presented to the King's Majesty, in the Banqueting House, by the Lord Chancellor, in the Presence of both Houses of Parliament, Yesterday, shall be forthwith printed and published.

Answer to H. C.

The Answer returned to the House of Commons was:

That this House will send an Answer by Messengers of their own.

Absent Lords to pay to the Poor.

ORDERED, That the ancient Order of this House be renewed, for every Lord that is absent from attending this House, and maketh not his just Excuse, to pay Five Shillings to the Poor for every Day's Absence.

Message to H. C. about printing the Address.

A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Dr. Childe and Dr. Birde:

To let them know, that this House have ordered the Vote of both Houses, presented to His Majesty Yesterday, to be printed and published.

Bill for reversing the E. of Strafford's Attainder.
