Bill concerning Quakers.
The Earl of Bridgwater reported, "That the Committee have considered again the Bill concerning the
Quakers, and have thought fit to make One more
Alteration therein, which they offer to the Consideration of the House; and that the Committee are of
Opinion, That the Title and the Body of the Bill do
not cross one another."
Upon some Debare hereof: It is ORDERED, That the
said Bill be re-committed to the same Committee, that it
may extend only to Quakers: And the Committee are
to meet To-morrow Morning, at Eight of the Clock;
and the Lord Mohun is added to this Committee.

The House, by the Lord Chancellor, this Day gave
Thanks to the Lord Bishop of St. David's, for his Pains
in Preaching Yesterday at the Fast.
Bill to regulate Hackney Coaches.
ORDERED, That the Committee concerning Hackney
Coaches do meet this Afternoon.
Oxonbridge, L. Vaughan's Servant, arrested.
Whereas Clement Oxonbridge, being called before this
House, did aver, "That he is a Servant of the Lord
Vaughan, a Peer of this Realm; and was arrested, by
one John Browne, a Serjeant at Mace, at the Suit of
Arthur Whitwick, contrary to the Privilege of Parliament:"
Browne and Whitwick sent for.
It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal
in Parliament assembled, That the said Whitwick and
Browne shall, forthwith after the serving this Order upon
them, appear before the Lords in Parliament, to shew
Cause why they arrested the said Oxonbridge, being a
Servant of the said Lord Vaughan as aforesaid.
Order to consider of the one for the Reading Clerk and Door-keepers Fees.
ORDERED, That the Grand Committee for Privileges
is to meet on Monday the 20th of this Instant January,
at Three of the Clock in the Afternoon, in the House;
whose Lordships are to consider of Two Orders of
this House lately made, for the Lords giving Money
to the Reading Clerk and to the Door-keepers, whether
the said Orders are according to former Apportionments
and Customs of this House; and to report the same.
Vanlor versus Bushell, in Error.
Whereas there is a Writ of Error depending in this
House, between Vanlor Plaintiff and Bushell Defendant,
wherein the said Plaintiff hath assigned Errors:
It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal
in Parliament assembled, That the said Errors shall be
argued, at this Bar, by Counsel on both Sides, on Wednesday the 22th of January Instant, at Nine of the
Clock in the Morning; and that the Defendant shall
join Issue therein in the mean Time, and deliver the
same unto the Clerk of the Parliaments, and come
prepared with Counsel for the Argument aforesaid:
And hereof timely Notice is to be given to the Defendant, who is to attend with his Counsel accordingly.
