Bill for erecting a Court at York.

Hodie 2a vice lecta est Billa, "An Act for erecting a Court at Yorke."

There was a long Debate concerning this Bill; but nothing was now Resolved.

Repealing Acts of the Long Parliament.

The House sitting very late:

It is ORDERED, That the Committee which was appointed to meet this Afternoon, at Three of the Clock, concerning an Act for Repealing the Acts of the Long Parliament, shall meet on Monday next, in the Afternoon, at the Time and Place formerly appointed.

Words between the D. of Bucks and the E. of Northumb.

Upon Debate of the Bill concerning the erecting of a Court at Yorke, some Words did pass between the Duke of Bucks and the Earl of Northumberland; which the House taking Notice of, did, by the Lord Chancellor, command them both, "That there should be no further Mention or Proceedings between them concerning this Business."

But, a little while after, the Duke of Bucks did rise out of his Place, and go to the Earl of Northumb. and spake Words touching this Business, contrary to the Injunction of the House.

Which being perceived, and Information being given to the House, and also upon the Confession of the Duke of Bucks what the Words were; the House commanded both of them to withdraw, and took the Business into Consideration, as a Matter much concerning the Honour of this House.

And the Lords being of Opinion, That the Duke of Bucks had broken the Order and Injunction of this House;

The Question being put, "Whether his Lordship shall be sent for, to come to his Place, and there receive a Reprehension for his Breach of the Order of this House?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

Likewise the Question being put, "Whether the Earl Duke of Bucks shall, after his Reprehension, be committed to his Chamber?"

It was Resolved in the Negative.

Then the Question was put, "Whether the Earl of Northumberland hath broken the Order of this House?"

And it was Resolved in the Negative.

D. of Bucks reprehended.

After this, the Earl of Northumberland was first called to his Place; and then the Duke of Bucks was called to his Place."

And the Lord Chancellor told the Duke of Bucks, "He was commanded, by the House, to give him the Reprehension of this House, for the Breach of their Lordships Order." And further declared to him and the Earl of Northumb. "That this House renews their former Order, to enjoin them both, that there be no further Mention or Proceedings between them concerning this Business; but that it be forgotten."

Adjourn.
