Hodie 3a vice lecta est Billa, "An Act for the settling of the Estate of James late Duke of Richmond and Lenos, according to Agreement of Charles Duke of Richmond & Lenos, Mary Dutchess Dowager of Richmond & Lenos, and the Lady Mary her Daughter; and Trustees of the said Lady Dutchess."

The Question being put, "Whether this Bill shall pass?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

Message to H. C. with it

A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Sir William Childe and Sir Moundeford Brampston:

To deliver the Bill concerning the Duke of Richmond, and to desire their Concurrence therein.

Report concerning Foreign Nobility, Precedency.

The Lord of Abergaveny reported, "That the Committee for Privileges, having taken the Order of this House concerning Foreign Nobility into Consideration, after serious Debate, passed this Vote; videlicet;

"That every Peer of England hath, by Right, Precedency in England, before all other Peers and Noblemen whatsoever.

"That the Committee is of Opinion, That the House should make a Declaration of asserting their Right, according to the Vote of the Committee; and that thereupon an humble Address should be made by this House to His Majesty, that He would please to give Direction that it be observed accordingly."

After a long Debate upon this Report:

It is ORDERED, That this House will resume the Debate of this Business To-morrow Morning.

A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Sir Wm. Lowther; who brought up a Bill, intituled, "An Act for Relief of poor and maimed Soldiers and Officers, who have faithfully served His Majesty and His Royal Father in the late Wars."
