PRAYERS.

Answer from the King, about Peers Evidences concerning Advowsons, &c.

The Lord Privy Seal reported, "That himself and the Duke of Albemarle, according to their Lordships Order, have moved the King, concerning those Deeds, Evidences, and Writings, which concern divers Lords, and are now in the Custody of the Lord Fanshaw, that they may be restored to them. And His Majesty's Answer is, That He will give Order that they shall be brought into this House, according to their Lordships Desire."

Lady Dacre's Bill rejected.

Hodie 1a vice lecta est Billa, "An Act enabling Dorothy Lady D'acre, Widow and Relict of the Right Honourable Lord D'acre deceased, late One of the Peers of this Realm, to hold and enjoy the Site of the Manor of Sutton Court, together with the Manor, and divers Lands, Tenements, and Hereditaments, thereunto belonging, for the Residue of the Term of Years in a Lease thereof made by Doctor Mathew Nicholas the late Dean, and the Chapter of the Cathedral Church of St. Paul in London, to Charles Whittaker Esquire, yet to come and unexpired."

The Question was put, "Whether this Bill shall be rejected?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

Jesuits and Priests.

Next, the House took into Consideration the Vote brought from the House of Commons concerning Jesuits and Priests.

And first the Earl of St. Albans gave the House this Account: "That he hath made Enquiry after the original Articles of Marriage of the Queen Mother, and he cannot yet get a Sight of them; but he hopes within a few Days to give the House a further Account of so much as concerns the Matter in Consideration."

The House, after Debate of the said Vote, nominated the Lords following to be a Committee, to prepare a Draught of a Petition to be presented to the King concerning Jesuits and Priests, and report the same to this House:
