ORDERED, That the Hearing of Counsel concerning
the Order made by this House, concerning Wildemoore
Fenn, shall be put off until Monday Morning next, without
Prejudice.
Subsidy of the Clergy Bill.
The Speaker acquainted the House, "That Mr. Attorney General hath prepared a Preamble and Confirmation of the Bill for the Subsidies of the Clergy."
Hereupon the House gave Directions to the Clerk of
the Parliaments to affix the same to the Bill.
E. of Dorset's Privilege, in Culpeper's Suit against Farmer, his Tenant.
Whereas there is an Action of Ejectment brought at
Common Law, by Daniell Crispe Attorney, in the Behalf of Thomas Culpeper Esquire, against Richard Farmer, Tenant to a Tenement called Newbridg House and
Mill in Sussex, wherein the Earl of Dorset is immediately concerned, it being his Inheritance; which Cause is
to be brought to a Trial at the next Assizes in the
County of Sussex:
It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That there shall be no
further Proceedings in this Cause, nor the said Richard
Farmer further troubled or molested concerning the
same, during the Privilege of this Parliament: And
hereof all Sheriffs, Counsellors, Attornies, Solicitors,
and all others any Ways hereby concerned, are to take
Notice, and yield their Obedience hereunto, as the
contrary will be answered to this House.
