A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Sir William Glascock and Sir Toby Wolrich:
To let them know, that the Lords have sent to the King, about a Day of Humiliation; and His Majesty hath appointed Tuesday next for that Purpose.
Bill to explain the one for Money for Officers who served the King during the late Troubles.
Hodie (fn. 2) 2a vice lecta est Billa, "An Act to explain and supply a former Act for Distribution of Threescore Thousand Pounds amongst the truly loyal and indigent Commission Officers; and for assessing of Offices, and distributing the Monies thereby raised, for their further Supply."

Message from H. C. with Bills.
A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Mr. Crouch and others; who brought Two Bills, whereunto they desire their Lordships Concurrence:
1. A Bill to settle the Estate of Phillip Viscount Strangford in Trustees, for Sale and Payment of his Debts.
2. "An Act for Relief of such Persons as, by Sickness or other Impediment, were disabled from subscribing the Declaration in the Act of Uniformity, and Explanation of Part of the said Act."
Temporalty Subsidy Bill.
The Lord Berkeley of Berkley reported, "That the Committee for the Bill of Subsidies are of Opinion, That the Commissioners Names in the Bill be left out, and the Naming of Commissioners to be left to the King, and so go according to former Precedents; but the Committee fearing left that Course might obstruct the speedy passing of the Bill, therefore their Lordships desire the Directions of this House therein:"
Hereupon the House gave this Direction, That the Committee should proceed to amend the Misnaming of some of the Commissioners, and add the Lords Commissioners Names that are to assess the Peers; and so to perfect the whole Bill, and then to have a Conference with the House of Commons, and propound to them,
"That if they will decline the Naming of Commissioners, and leave it to the King to name them as formerly hath been done, their Lordships will do the like."
But if the House of Commons will not agree herein, then to desire their Concurrence in such Alterations and Additions as their Lordships shall make.
Commissioners to assess the Peers.

Bill against Gaming.
The Lord Bishop of Hereford reported from the Committee, the Bill against unlawful Gaming, as fit to pass, with some Alterations and Additions; which being Once read, it is ORDERED to be re-committed to the same Committee, to be restrained to Dice and Cards; and the Committee is to meet this Afternoon, at Three of the Clock.
Willoughby & al. Nat. Bill.
ORDERED, That the Committee for the Bill for naturalizing of George Willoughby and others shall meet on Monday Morning next, at Nine of the Clock.
Pitcarne's Bill.
Hodie 1a vice lecta est Billa, "An Act for confirming a Deed made by Charles Pittcarne."
ORDERED, That the Lord Wharton and the Lord Lucas are added to the Committee for the Bill against unlawful Gaming.
Highways and Streets about London Bill.
Hodie 2a vice lecta est Billa, "An additional Act for repairing, paving, and amending, the Highways and Streets about the Cities of London and Westm."
ORDERED, That this Bill is committed to the Consideration of the same Committee that brought it into this House.
Order for repairing the Streets, and regulating Laystalls.
ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Order of this House, dated the Six and Twentieth of July, 1661, concerning the repairing the Streets and Passages in and near the Cities of London and Westminster, and the Liberties thereof, and for regulating of Laystalls, is hereby specially recommended to the Commissioners appointed by Act of Parliament for mending Highways and Streets in and near the Cities of London and Westm. to put the same into Execution effectually with all Speed.
