A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Mr. Crouch and others; who brought Two
Bills, whereunto they desire their Lordships Concurrence:
1. A Bill to settle the Estate of Phillip Viscount
Strangford in Trustees, for Sale and Payment of his
Debts.
2. "An Act for Relief of such Persons as, by
Sickness or other Impediment, were disabled from
subscribing the Declaration in the Act of Uniformity, and Explanation of Part of the said Act."
Temporalty Subsidy Bill.
The Lord Berkeley of Berkley reported, "That the
Committee for the Bill of Subsidies are of Opinion,
That the Commissioners Names in the Bill be left
out, and the Naming of Commissioners to be left to
the King, and so go according to former Precedents;
but the Committee fearing left that Course might
obstruct the speedy passing of the Bill, therefore
their Lordships desire the Directions of this House
therein:"
Hereupon the House gave this Direction, That the
Committee should proceed to amend the Misnaming of
some of the Commissioners, and add the Lords Commissioners Names that are to assess the Peers; and so to
perfect the whole Bill, and then to have a Conference with the House of Commons, and propound to
them,
"That if they will decline the Naming of Commissioners, and leave it to the King to name them as formerly hath been done, their Lordships will do the
like."
But if the House of Commons will not agree
herein, then to desire their Concurrence in such
Alterations and Additions as their Lordships shall
make.

Cities of London and Westminster, and the Liberties thereof, and for regulating of Laystalls, is hereby specially
recommended to the Commissioners appointed by Act
