Bill to repeal the Act for Triennial Parliaments.

Hodie 3a vice lecta est Billa, "An Act for the assembling and holding of Parliaments Once in Three Years at least; and for the Repeal of an Act, intituled, An Act for the preventing of Inconveniencies happening by the long Intermission of Parliaments."

The Question being put, "Whether this Bill shall pass?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative, nemine contradicente.

Message to the King, about passing it.

ORDERED, That the Duke of Richmond, the Lord Chamberlain, and the Lord Mohun, are appointed to attend the King from this House, and to acquaint Him, "That their Lordships have unanimously passed the Bill for assembling and holding of Parliaments Once in Three Years at least, and for the Repeal of an Act, intituled, "An Act for the preventing of Inconveniencies happening by the long Intermission of Parliaments." And this House conceiving the said Bill to be a Matter of great Importance, do humbly desire His Majesty will be pleased to think of some Time before Easter, for His giving His Royal Assent to the same."

Message to H. C. to acquaint them with it.

A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Justice Tyrrell and Baron Raynsford:

To let them know, that this House hath passed the Bill brought up for the assembling and holding of Parliaments Once in Three Years at least, and for the Repeal of an Act, intituled, "An Act for the preventing of Inconveniencies happening by the long Intermission of Parliaments."

ORDERED, That the Lord Bruce be added to the Committee for the Bill for transporting of Felons.

Mr. Justice Tyrrell and Baron Raynsford return with this Answer:

That they have delivered their Message to the House of Commons.

ORDERED, That the Sub-committee for Privileges and perfecting of the Journal Book have hereby Power, from Time to Time, to meet on any Days as they shall think convenient for that Service.

Lady Petre versus Joyce & al. for arresting her.

Whereas Complaint hath been made to this House, That Dame Elizabeth Petre, Wife to William Lord Petre, a Peer of this Realm, hath been arrested, about Five Months since, contrary to the Privilege of Peerage, by one James Walker and others, at the Procurement of one William Joyce:"

Joyce, Walker, & al. sent for.

It is therefore ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said William Joyce and James Walker, and others who were Combiners in this Business, shall be summoned to make their Personal Appearance before this House on Monday Morning next, which will be the Fourth Day of April, 1664, at Ten of the Clock, to answer the said Offences: And herein they may not fail, as they will answer the contrary to this House.

River Wye Bill.

Hodie 2a vice lecta est Billa, "An Act for the keeping, conserving, ordering, governing, and continuing, of the River of Wye navigable, from Guildford, in the County of Surrey, to the River of Thames, and so to London."

Upon the reading of the Bill, intituled, "An Act for the keeping, conserving, ordering, governing, and maintaining, of the River of Wye navigable, from Guildford, in the County of Surrey, to the River of Thames, and so to London," this Day the Second Time in the House:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That all Parties concerned in the said Bill shall be heard, by their Counsel, at the Bar of this House, on this Day Month, which will be on the Twenty-eighth Day of April next, at Ten of the Clock in the Morning, upon the Matter contained in the said Bill; at which Time all Parties concerned are to attend, with their Counsel and Witnesses, and to come prepared for the said Hearing accordingly.
