Sir Robert Carr's Bill.

Hodie 1a vice lecta est Billa, "An Act for settling the Estate of Sir Rob't Carr Baronet."

Message from H. C. with Bills; and to return Juckes' and Ld. Loughborough's Bills.

A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Mr. Prynn and others; who brought up Six Bills, and spake upon the Delivery thereof to this Effect: "That, upon the giving of a Royal Aid to His Majesty by the Commons of England, something hath usually been done for the public Good of the Subjects thereof; that such an Aid hath this Session been given to His Majesty, as the like hath not been before; and therefore the Commons have thought of proposing some Laws to be made for the Ease and Satisfaction of the People, and have thereupon sent up to your Lordships some Bills to this Purpose:

1. An Act to prevent Arrests of Judgement, and superseding Executions.

"2. An Act for limiting Costs in trivial and vexatious Actions.

"3. An Act for restoring the right Heirs of Michaell Moline Esquire, deceased, unto the Equity of Redemption of a Mortgage of Lands in Berks, made to Sir Nathaniell Brent deceased.

"4. An Act for the making navigable the Rivers and Water-courses in the County of Cornwall, into the Sea."

Also to return these Bills sent from their Lordships:

1. "An Act for enabling of Thomas Juckes, of Treliddam, in the County of Mountgomery, Esquire, to sell Lands, for the Payment of his Debts, and raising of Younger Childrens Portions;" to which Bill the House of Commons agrees, without any Alterations.

2. "An Act to enable Henry Lord Loughborough to make the River and Shore navigable, from or near Bristow Causey, in the County of Surrey, into the River of Thames;" to which Bill the House of Commons agrees, with a few Amendments.

Lake and Sabran Bill.

Hodie 1a vice lecta est Billa, "An Act for confirming a Contract between Sir Lancelott Lake Knight, and Reneé Sabran an Infant."

L. Loughborough's Bill.

The Amendments to the Bill concerning the Lord Loughborough were read Twice, and Agreed to.

Wildmore Waste Bill.

Hodie 1a vice lecta est Billa, "An Act for the settling and improving a certain Waste, or Moor, called Wildmore, in the County of Lyncolne."

Hertford Highways Bill.

The Earl of Bridgwater reported, "That the Committee have considered the Bill for Continuance of a former Act for repairing the Highways within the County of Hertford; and their Lordships think it fit to pass, with an Amendment, and adding a Proviso; which they offer to their Lordships Consideration."

The said Amendment and Proviso were read Twice, and Agreed to.

Hodie 3a vice lecta est Billa, "An Act for Continuance of a former Act, for repairing the Highways within the County of Hertford."

The Question being put, "Whether this Bill, with the Amendment and Proviso now read, shall pass?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

Bill to prevent Arrests of Judgement.

Bill to limit Costs in vexatious Suits.

Sir R. Carr's Bill.

ORDERED, That Sir Rob't Carr's Bill be read Tomorrow Morning.

Message from H. C. with a Bill.

A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Mr. Rigby and others; who brought up a Bill, intituled, "An Act for Satisfaction of a just Debt, due from Henry Nevill Esquire to Colonel Richard Kirby," to which they desire their Lordships Concurrence.

ORDERED, That the Earl of Peterborough and the Earl of Bath are added to the Committee for the Bill concerning Yarmouth.

Message to H. C. with the Hertford Highways Bill; and that the Lords agree to Ld. Loughborough's.

A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Sir William Childe and Mr. Cole:

To return the Bill for Continuance of a former Act, for repairing the Highways in the County of Hertford; to which their Lordships have made an Amendment, and added a Proviso, whereto their Concurrence is desired.

Also to let them know, that their Lordships agree to the Amendments in the Lord Loughborough's Bill.

Adjourn.
