Memorandum, That, by reason of the Indisposition
of the Lord Chancellor's Health, His Majesty granted
a Commission under the Great Seal of England, for
appointing the Lord Privy Seal to be Speaker of the
House of Peers, in the Absence of the Lord Chancellor.
Which Commission was read.
And then the Lord Privy Seal took his Place as
L. Ward excused.
ORDERED, That the Lord Ward is excused from
his attending on this House, he having sent his Proxy.
Bill for uniting Churches in Cities, &c.
The Earl of Bridgwater reported, "That the Committee have considered of the Bill for uniting of
Churches in Cities and Towns Corporate; and think
it fit to pass, with some Alterations and Amendments."
Which being read Twice,
The Question being put, "Whether this House
doth agree to these Amendments and Alterations now read?"
It was Resolved in the Affirmative.
ORDERED, That this Bill for the uniting of Churches
shall be engrossed, with the Amendments.
