PRAYERS.
Fuller to be prosecuted with the utmost Severity.
The Masters in Chancery sent Yesterday to William
Fuller return Answer:
That they had been with him; and he says, "Jones
and Englefield are gone Ten Miles out of Town;
and that, if he is ordered, he will go, with a Messenger, and fetch them."
It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That His Majesty's Attorney General do forth with prosecute William Fuller with
the utmost Severity, without any Regard to any Letters
or Messages he hath received, or may receive, from
him; and that the Books and Papers concerning that
Matter, now in the Clerk's Custody, be delivered to
Mr. Attorney General.
Allanson, Leave for a Bill.
Upon reading the Petition of Alathea Allanson,
Mother and Guardian of Henrietta Susanna Tempest, an
Infant, about Sixteen Years of Age; praying Leave
to bring in a Bill for Sale of an Estate in Yorkshire;
and that the Money thereby raised be secured and appropriated for the Benefit of the Infant:
It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Petitioner hath
hereby Leave to bring in a Bill, as desired.
Perjury, to punish, Bill.
Hodie 2a
vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act,
making wilful Perjury, or Subornation of Perjury, in
certain Cases, to be Felony."
ORDERED, That the said Bill be committed to a Committee of the whole House, presently.
Then the House was adjourned during Pleasure, and
put into a Committee thereupon.
After some Time, the House was resumed.
A Debate arose, touching the re-committing the said
Bill; and for hearing the Judges, as to the Dilatoriness
of Proceedings, by taking Evidence in Writing.
Whereupon,
It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal
in Parliament assembled, That the Report from the
Committee of the whole House, upon the Bill, intituled,
"An Act, making wilful Perjury, or Subornation of
Perjury, in certain Cases, to be Felony." be made on
Monday next; and all the Lords summoned; and Judges
to attend.
