This Day Thomas Lord Jermyn took the Oaths, and
made and subscribed the Declaration, pursuant to the
Statute.

Upon reading the several Petitions of Daniel de Virasel, Daniel Brisac, and others; praying to be naturalized:
It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the several Petitioners
have Leave to be naturalized, as desired.
Bishop of Gloucester, Leave for a Bill.
Upon reading the Petition of Edward Lord Bishop
of Gloucester; praying Leave to bring in a Bill, to enable
him and his Successors to make separate and distinct
Leases of certain Lands and Tenements therein contained, reserving such Rents as will amount unto the full
Value of the ancient Rents:
It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Petitioner hath
hereby Leave given him to bring in a Bill, as desired.
Writs of Error;
The House being informed, "That there were Two
Writs of Error at the Door:"
The House gave Leave for the bringing of them in.
Then the Lord Chief Justice of His Majesty's Court
of King's Bench brought in the said Writs. He made
Three Obeisances before he came to the Bar; and, after
Three Obeisances more, he laid them on the Lord
Keeper's Woolsack.
The Clerk received the Records and Transcripts, and
brought them to the Table:
Kinsey versus Hayward.
In one of which Writs, Mary Kinsey is Plaintiff,
Henry Hayward Defendant:
Palmes versus Lane.
In the other, Stephen Palmes is Plaintiff, Henry Lane
Defendant.
Williams's Bill.

vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for
vesting in Trustees the Estate of Sir William Powell
Baronet, deceased, for raising Portions for the Younger
Children of Sir John Williams and Dame Mary his
Wife (Daughter of the said Sir W'm Powell); and
to enable William Williams, their Eldest Son, to make
a Jointure to such Wife as he shall marry."
ORDERED, That the Consideration of the said Bill be
committed to the Lords following; (videlicet,)

vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for
punishing Officers and Soldiers who shall mutiny or
desert, in England and Ireland."
The Question was put, "Whether this Bill shall
pass?"
It was Resolved in the Affirmative.
ORDERED, That the Commons have Notice, that
the Lords have agreed to the said Bill, without any
Amendment.
Succession of Crown, &c. Bill.
Then the House was adjourned during Pleasure, and
put into a Committee upon the Bill, intituled, "An Act
for the further Security of His Majesty's Person, and
the Succession of the Crown in the Protestant Line; and
for extinguishing the Hopes of the pretended Prince
of Wales, and all other Pretenders, and their open
and secret Abettors."
After a long Time spent therein, the House was resumed.
And the Lord Bishop of Salisbury reported, "That
the Committee had gone through the said Bill, with
several Amendments."
Which were read Twice, and agreed to.
ORDERED, That the said Bill shall be read the Third
Time To-morrow, at One of the Clock; and all the
Lords summoned to attend.
