D. St. Alban's Privilege:
The House being informed, upon Oath, "That
Charles Hayes, Servant to his Grace the Duke of
St. Albans, a Peer of this Realm, contrary to the
Privilege of Parliament, was arrested, at the Suit of
Benjamine Hardy, Brewer, by George Simpson, Bailiff:"
Hardy and Simpson attached for arresting Hayes his Servant.
It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Serjeant at Arms
attending this House, his Deputy or Deputies, do
forthwith attach the Bodies of the said Benjamine Hardy
and George Simpson, and bring them in safe Custody to
the Bar of this House, to answer for their Offence;
and this shall be a sufficient Warrant on that Behalf.
To Peter Persehouse Esquire, Serjeant
at Arms attending this House, his
Deputy or Deputies, and every of
them; and to all Mayors, Sheriffs,
Bailiffs, Constables, and other His
Majesty's Officers, to be aiding and
assisting in the Execution hereof.
Sir H. Goring versus Sir C. Bishop.
After hearing Counsel, upon the Petition and Appeal
of Sir Henry Goreing, of Highdon, in the County of Sussex,
Baronet; complaining of some Proceedings in the Court
of Chancery, of the Ninth of May One Thousand Seven
Hundred and One, and taxing of Costs by a Master
of that Court, for which he is now prosecuted by Sir
Cecil Bishop; and praying Relief in the Premises; as
also upon the Answer of Sir Cecil Bishop put in thereunto; and due Consideration of what was offered thereupon:
It is ORDERED and Adjudged, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the
said Order of the Court of Chancery of the Ninth of
May One Thousand Seven Hundred and One (declaring
Sir Henry Goring's Answer to be impertinent) shall be,
and is hereby, set aside and reversed; and therefore the
Thirty-eight Pounds, Nine Shillings, and Four Pence,
Costs, taxed by the Master, shall be, and they are hereby, discharged.
Minshull versus Minshull.
Whereas this Day was appointed for hearing the
Cause wherein Richard Minshull is Appellant, and
Peter Minshull and others Respondents:
It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Cause shall
be heard To-morrow, at Eleven a Clock, the First Business.
Sir S. Thompson's Bill for Sale of Parkbury.
