Upon reading the Petition and Appeal of William Sydenham Esquire, from a Decree made in the Court of Chancery, the Eighteenth Day of November One Thousand Seven Hundred and One, on the Behalf of Doiley Michell and Anne his Wife; and praying the Reversal of the said Decree, so far as the same concerns the Respondents Claims to a Benefit Ticket, and the Relief decreed them concerning the same; and that the Respondents may answer the Appeal:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Doiley Michel and Anne his Wife may have a Copy of the said Appeal; and shall and they are hereby required to put in their Answer thereunto, in Writing, on Monday the Sixth Day of April next, at Eleven a Clock in the Forenoon.

To return the Bill, intituled, "An Act to enable the Right Honourable Lady Henrietta O'Brien, Mother and Guardian of the Right Honourable Henry Earl of Thomond, an Infant, to make Leases of his Estate in Ireland, for the discharging of Incumbrances thereon, and of a Charge of Four Thousand Pounds for his Sister's Portion;" and to acquaint this House, that they have agreed to the said Bill, without any Amendment.

A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Mr. Newton and others:

To return the Bill, intituled, "An Act for continuing the Act made in the Eighth Year of His Majesty's Reign, for better preventing the counterfeiting the Current Coin of this Kingdom;" and to acquaint this House, that they have agreed to their Lordships Amendments made to the said Bill.

A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Mr. Clarke and others:

To return the Bill, intituled, "An Act for confirming the Title of Thomas Rose Gentleman to Lands called Rempstone; and for the Sale of Lands called Carrants Court, in the County of Dorsett, for Payment of the Debts of William Rose Gentleman deceased; and for settling the Manor of Cheddar Fitzwalter's, in the County of Somerset, with the Overplus on the said Sale, on Mary Rose, an Infant Daughter of the said William, in Lieu of Three Thousand Pounds Portion for the said Infant;" and to acquaint this House, that they have agreed to the same, without any Amendment.

A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Sir Christopher Hales and others:

To return the Bill, intituled, "An Act to enable Trustees to sell certain Lands, Tithes, and Tenements, for the Payment of the Debts of Francis Puresoy Esquire, deceased;" and to acquaint this House, that they have agreed to the same, with some Amendments, whereunto they desire their Lordships Concurrence.

Which were read Thrice, and agreed to; and ORDERED, That the Commons have Notice thereof.

Wyndham's Bill:

Hodie 3^a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act to enable Rebekah Wyndham to sell and dispose of an Estate, late Sarah Verdon's, in the County of Norfolke."

The Question was put, "Whether this Bill shall pass?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

To carry down the said Bill, and desire their Concurrence thereunto.

Queen present:

Her Majesty, being seated on Her Royal Throne, adorned with Her Crown and Regal Ornaments, attended with Her Officers of State, the Peers being also in their Robes, commanded the Gentleman Usher of the Black Rod to let the Commons know, "It is Her Majesty's Pleasure, that they attend Her presently, in the House of Peers."

Who being come, with their Speaker; and after making a short Speech to Her Majesty, in relation to the Bill for the better Support of Her Majesty's Household, and of the Honour and Dignity of the Crown; gave it to the Clerk of the Parliaments, who brought the same to the Table, where the Clerk of the Crown read the Title of that and the rest of the Bills following; (videlicet,)

Queen's Speech.

"My Lords and Gentleman,

I am very well pleased to have given My Assent to the Act for taking the Public Accompts: Nothing is more reasonable than to give the Kingdom the Satisfaction of having those great Sums accounted for, which were raised to carry on the late War; especially when it is necessary, for Our own Safety, and the Support of Our Allies, to continue great Taxes.

"Gentlemen of the House of Commons,

"I return you My kind and hearty Thanks, for continuing to Me, for My Life, the same Revenue you had granted to the King: I will take great Care it shall be managed to the best Advantage; and, while My Subjects remain under the Burthen of such great Taxes, I will straiten Myself in My own Expences, rather than not contribute all I can to their Ease and Relief, with a just Regard to the Support of the Honour and Dignity of the Crown. It is probable the Revenue may fall very short of what it has formerly produced: However, I will give Directions that One Hundred Thousand Pounds be applied to the Public Service, in this Year, out of the Revenue you have so unanimously given Me.

"My Lords and Gentlemen,

"The present Posture of Affairs Abroad, as well as the Season of the Year, obliges Me to put you in Mind of giving all possible Dispatch to the Public Business."

Then Her Majesty was pleased to withdraw, and the Commons returned to their House.
