Ld. Ferrers takes the Oaths.

Mathew Wrighte and John Spencer were sworn, to the Truth of the Lord Ferrers' Certificate of his receiving the Sacrament.

Then Robert Lord Ferrers took the Oaths, and made and subscribed the Declaration, pursuant to the Statute, 25° Caroli Secundi; and also took the Oath of Abjuration, and subscribed the same.

E. of Montague versus Shewein.

Upon reading the Petition and Complaint of Ralph Earl of Montagu, against an Order made and pronounced in the Court of Exchequer, on the Behalf of William Sherwin and others; and praying that they may answer thereunto:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That William Sherwin and others complained of in the said Petition may have a Copy thereof; and shall and they are hereby required to put in their Answer thereunto, in Writing, on Saturday the Second Day of May next, at Eleven a Clock in the Forenoon.

The Question was put, "Whether this Bill shall pass?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

Oath of Abjuration Bill, Alterations in:

Hodie 3a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act to declare the Alterations in the Oath appointed to be taken by the Act, intituled, An Act for the further Security of His Majesty's Person, and the Succession of the Crown in the Protestant Line; and for extinguishing the Hopes of the pretended Prince of Wales, and all other Pretenders, and their open and secret Abettors; and for declaring the Association to be determined."

Then a Rider was offered.

Which, being read Twice, was agreed to; and then read the Third Time.

The Question was put, "Whether this Bill, with the Rider and Amendments, shall pass?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

Message to H. C. with Amendments to it.

A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Mr. Gery and Mr. Rogers:

To return the said Bill, and desire their Concurrence to their Lordships Amendments made therein.

A Message from the House of Commons, by Sir Thomas Davall and others:

Who brought up a Bill, intituled, "An Act for the enlarging and encouraging the Greenland Trade;" to which they desire the Concurrence of this House.

Then the House was adjourned during Pleasure, and put into a Committee upon the Bill, intituled, "An Act for the Relief of Colonel Henry Luttrel, with relation to the forfeited Estates in Ireland."

After some Time spent therein, the House was resumed.

And the Lord Guilford reported, "That the Committee had gone through the said Bill; and think it fit to pass, without any Amendment."

Subsidy and Land Tax, Bill.

Hodie 1a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for granting an Aid to Her Majesty, by divers Subsidies and a Land Tax."

Kinsey versus Hayward, in Error.

After hearing Counsel this Day, to argue the Errors assigned upon the Writ of Error depending in this House, wherein Mary Kinsey is Plaintiff, and Henry Hayward Defendant:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Lord Keeper shall report what was offered thereupon, on Friday next, at Twelve a Clock; and that all the Judges do then attend.
