Supple's Bill.

The Earl of Warrington reported from the Lords Committees, the Bill, intituled, "An Act to enable the Devisees of James Supple, and all claiming under them, to make Leases, for the Improvement of the Estate devised," as fit to pass, without any Amendment.

Answer from H. C.

The Messengers sent to the House of Commons Yesterday return Answer:

That the Commons will send an Answer, by Messengers of their own.

L. Raby takes the Oaths.

This Day John Melvill and Henry Brunville, were sworn to the Truth of Thomas Lord Raby's receiving the Sacrament of the LORD'S Supper.

Then Thomas Lord Raby took the Oaths, and made and subscribed the Declaration, and also took and subscribed the Oath of Abjuration, pursuant to the Statutes.

Message from H. C. with Bills.

A Message from the House of Commons, by Mr. Conyers and others:

Who brought up a Bill, intituled, "An Act for the finishing and adorning the Cathedral Church of St. Paul's, London;" to which they desire the Concurrence of this House.

As also to a Bill, intituled, "An Act for the more easy Recovery of Monies for repairing Churches."

St. Paul's Cathedral Bill.

Hodie 1a vice lecta est Billa, intituled "An Act for the finishing and adorning the Cathedral Church of St. Paul's London."

Message from H. C. to return the D. of Beaufort's Bill.

A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Mr. Compton and others:

To return the Bill, intituled, "An Act for settling divers Manors, Lands, and Hereditaments, the Estate of Henry Duke of Beaufort, according to Agreement made upon his Marriage; and for other Purposes in the said Act mentioned;" and to acquaint this House, that they have agreed to the same, without any Amendment.

Hack & al. Nat. Bill:

Hodie 3a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for naturalizing Daniel Hack, Charles Johan Bruce, and others."

The Question was put, "Whether this Bill, with the Amendments, shall pass?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Sir Robert Legard and Doctor Edisbury:

To carry down the said Bill, and desire their Concurrence thereunto.

Message from thence, to return Hodson's Bill.

A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Mr. Hungerford and others:

To return the Bill, intituled, "An Act for vesting certain Messuages, Lands, Tenements, and Hereditaments, of Toby Hodson the Elder, Esquire, a Lunatic, in Trustees, for Payment of his Debts, and making Provision for himself, his Wife, and only Son;" and to acquaint this House, that they have agreed to the same, without any Amendment.

Woollen, &c. Manufactures Bill, to prevent Frauds in.

Hodie 1a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for the more effectual preventing the Abuses and Frauds of Persons employed in the working up of the Woollen, Linen, Fustian, Cotton, and Iron Manufactures of this Kingdom."

Abjuration Oath, Bill to enlarge the Time for taking.

The Order being read, for the House to be put into a Committee upon the Bill, intituled, "An Act for enlarging the Time for taking the Oath of Abjuration, and also for re-capacitating and indemnifying such Persons as have not taken the same by the Time limited, and shall take the same by a Time to be appointed:"

It was proposed, "That a Clause be added to the Bill, in relation to the Princess Sophia, That it shall be penal to endeavour to prevent her from coming to the Crown."

To which the House agreed.

ORDERED, That the Committee do receive such a Clause.

Then it was proposed, "That the Oath of Abjuration should extend to Ireland."

To which the House agreed.

ORDERED, That the Committee do receive such a Clause.

Then it was proposed, "That such as had vacated their Livings by not taking the Oath, that those who are in them may be indemnified for First Fruits."

To which the House agreed.

Then the House was adjourned during Pleasure, and put into a Committee upon the said Bill.

After some Time, the House was resumed.

And the Lord Herbert reported, "That the Committee had made some Progress in the Bill; and desires another Time may be appointed, for them to sit again."

ORDERED, That this House shall be put into a Committee again, to proceed in the said Bill, To-morrow, the First Business; and that all the Lords be summoned.

Adjourn.
