Sir T. Lawrence & al. versus Blachford & al.

Upon reading the Petition and Appeal of Sir Thomas Lawrence Baronet, and John Lawrence Esquire his Son, from an Order or Decree of the Court of Chancery, made the Six and Twentieth Day of February last, in a Cause there depending, wherein the Petitioners were Plaintiffs, and Robert Blachford, Daniel Blachford, Elizabeth Blachford, Jane Blachford, George Blachford, John Blachford, John Leigh, Thomas Urrey, William Taylor and Grace his Wife, Edmond Challoner, and Arthur Lake, were Defendants; and praying, "That that Part of the said Order or Decree, which appoints One Thousand Five Hundred Pounds and Interest to be paid out of the Two Thousand Pounds and Interest in the Petition mentioned, may be so far reversed:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Robert Blachford, Daniel Blachford, Elizabeth Blachford, Jane Blachford, George Blachford, John Blachford, John Leigh, Thomas Urrey, William Taylor and Grace his Wife, Edmond Challoner, and Arthur Lake, may have a Copy of the said Appeal; and shall and they are hereby required to put in their Answer or respective Answers thereunto, in Writing, on Thursday the Three and Twentieth Day of this Instant November, at Eleven a Clock in the Forenoon; and that, in order thereunto, the Service of this Order on the Respondents Clerk in Chancery shall be good Service.

Hodie 2a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for settling the Right of several Parcels of Land and other Tenements, and of certain Fishings and Tithes of Fishings in the Society of the Governor and Assistants London, of the new Plantation in Ulster, within the Realm of Ireland, and their Successors; and for settling a Rent Charge of Two Hundred and Fifty Pounds per Annum upon the Lord Bishop of Derry, and his Successors for ever."

Estimates of the Navy Debt, and Expences of the Navy, delivered.

1. Mr. Burchet, pursuant to an Order of the Third Instant, delivered,

"An Estimate of the Debt of the Navy, to the Thirtieth of September 1701."

2. "An Estimate of the Debt of the Navy, to the Thirtieth of September 1702."

3. "28th October 1703. An Estimate of the Navy Debt, to the Thirtieth September 1703."

4. "An Estimate of the Debt of the Navy, to the Thirtieth of September 1704."

And also Four Books, intituled,

1. "Ordinary Estimate of the Navy for the Year 1701."

Then the House was adjourned into the Committee for Privileges.
