The Petition of Thomas Watson Doctor in Divinity, and Johanna Watson, (pursuant to the Order of the Day) was read.

After Consideration thereof, and Debate thereupon;

The Question was put, "Whether this Petition shall be rejected?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

The Petition rejected.

Upon reading the Petition of Thomas Watson Doctor in Divinity, consecrated Bishop of St. David's, and of Johanna Watson; shewing, "That the Petitioners having brought a Writ of Error into this House, upon a Judgement given against them in the Exchequer Chamber, in an Information of Intrusion, exhibited in Her Majesty's Name, for a Messuage and Lands in Abergivilly; in the County of Carmarthen, Part of the Possessions of the Bishopric of St. David's, upon the Vacancy of the said See, which Record was lodged in this House the Fourteenth of December last; and that they gave Directions for assigning Errors thereupon, according to the Rules of this House; but a Doubt arising, whether the Errors should be assigned in Person or by an Attorney, occasioned Delay for a Day or Two; that the Errors were engrossed, and Counsel retained to argue the same; and that the Errors had been brought in the Two and Twentieth of December last, if the Petitioners had known it was necessary so to do; the Petitioners are informed, that, on the said Two and Twentieth of December, (to their great Surprize) the House then ordered the said Writ of Error to be discontinued; and the Petitioners having been at great Expence in this Matter, they humbly hoped the House would not preclude them from the Benefit thereof, by the Mistake of a Day, in not complying with the Order and Rule of this House, they not knowing thereof;" and praying "that this House will Order, that the Assignment of Errors to the Petition annexed might be received; and that the Order of the Two and Twentieth of December, for discontinuing the said Writ of Error, be set aside, and Issue joined, and Counsel heard thereupon:"

After due Consideration of the said Petition, and reading the Standing Order of the House relating to this Matter, and Debate hereupon; it is Resolved and ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Petition of Doctor Thomas Watson and Johanna Watson shall be, and is hereby, rejected.

Girardot et al. Naturalization.

Upon reading the Petition of Andrew Girardot and others; praying Leave to bring in a Bill for their Naturalization:
