The Answer of Alexander Norman M'Leod Esquire of Harris, to the Petition and Appeal of John Maclellan, Merchant in Greenock, was this Day brought in.

Bruce v. Bruce.

After hearing Counsel fully in the Cause wherein James Carstairs Bruce Esquire is Appellant, and Thomas Bruce Esquire is Respondent:

It is Ordered, That the further Consideration of the said Cause be put off sine Die.

Mein v. M'Clelland et al.

Ordered, That the Hearing of the Cause wherein Alexander Mein is Appellant, and James M'Clelland, and others, are Respondents, which stands appointed for this Day, be put off sine Die.

Campbell v. Macfarlane et al.

Ordered, That the Hearing of the Cause wherein Alexander Campbell junior, Esquire, is Appellant, and William Macfarlane, and others, are Respondents, which stands appointed for this Day, be put off sine Die.

It is Ordered, That the said Petition be referred to the Committee appointed to consider of the Causes in which Prints of the Appellants and Respondents Cases, now depending in this House in Matters of Appeals and Writs of Error, have not been delivered, pursuant to the Standing Order of this House.

Gray & Woodrop v. M'Nair.

Upon reading the Petition of Colonel James M'Nair, of the 52d Regiment of Foot, Son and Heir of James M'Nair Esquire, late Respondent in a Cause depending in this House, to which Robert Gray and John Woodrop are Appellants; praying, "That their Lordships will be pleased to order that this Appeal may stand revived in the Petitioner's Name, as in Place and Stead of the said James M'Nair, in respect of this Cause; and that the Petitioner may have the same Benefit of the said Appeal as the said James M'Nair might have had if in Life:"

It is Ordered, That the said Appeal do stand revived in the Petitioner's Name, and that he may have the same Benefit of the Appeal as the said James M'Nair might have had if in Life, as desired.

He was called in; and delivered at the Bar, pursuant to an Address to His Majesty of Tuesday last,

20th Report of Comrs of Revenue Inquiry:

"The Twentieth Report of the Commissioners appointed to inquire into the Collection and Management of the Public Revenue arising in Ireland, and into certain Departments of the Public Revenue arising in Great Britain: (Post Office - Scotland.)"

Mr. Charles Crafer also delivered at the Bar, pursuant to the Directions of several Acts of Parliament,

Assessed Taxes, Scotand:

"A Return of Copies of Cases stated and signed by the Commissioners in Scotland acting in Execution of the Acts of Parliament imposing and regulating the Duties of Assessed Taxes, and Opinion and Determination of the Barons of the Court of Exchequer in Scotland thereon, for the Period from 5th February 1829 to 4th February 1830:"

Metropolitan Comrs in Lunacy:

And also, "An Account of all Monies received for Licences by the Clerk of the Metropolitan Commissioners in Lunacy, and of all Monies received from and paid out of the Consolidated Fund to the soid Clerk, from the 15th August 1828 to the 1st August 1829; specifying the several Heads of Expenditure."

Mr. Charles Crafer also delivered at the Bar, pursuant to Orders of Monday last,

Gold coined:

"An Account of the Quantity of Gold coined, and of its Value when coined, at the Mint, in each Year from 1st January 1819 to the 18th February 1830:"

Silver coined:

Also, "An Account of the Quantity of Silver coined, and of its Value when coined, at the Mint, in each Year from the 1st January 1819 to the 18th February 1830:"

Gold & Silver Coin exported:

Also, "An Account of the Amount of all British Gold and Silver Coin respectively exported from 1st January 1819 down to the latest Period at which the Account can be made up; distinguishing the different Years:"

Foreign Coin & Bullion exported.

And also, "An Account of the Quantity and Value of Foreign Coin and Bullion respectively exported from 1st January 1819 down to the latest Period at which the Account can be made up; distinguishing the different Years."

And then he withdrew.

And the Titles thereof being read by the Clerk;

Ordered, That the said Papers do lie on the Table.

Ordered, That the said Report, and also the Four lastmentioned Papers, be printed.

Brack v. Johnston et al.

The House being moved, "That a Day may be appointed for hearing the Cause wherein William Brack is Appellant, and George Johnston, and others, are Respondents, ex-parte, the Respondents not having put in their Answer to the said Appeal, though peremptorily Ordered so to do:"

It is Ordered, That this House will hear the said Cause ex-parte, by Counsel at the Bar, on the first vacant Day for Causes after those already appointed, unless the Respondents put in their Answer thereto in the mean time.

2d Report from Journal Comee.

The Earl of Shaftesbury reported from the Lords SubCommittees appointed to consider of the Orders and Customs of this House, and of the Privileges of the Peers of Great Britain and Ireland, and Lords of Parliament, and to peruse and perfect the Journals of this and former Sessions of Parliament, "That the Committee had met, and had come to the following Resolution; (viz ^t .)

"Resolved, That there being now ready for Delivery the Second Volume of the Calender of the general Proceedings of the House from 1808 to 1826, both inclusive, (with the Exception of the Proceedings upon Appeals and Writs of Error,) which has been printed in pursuance of the Order of the House, the said Volume be delivered in the same Manner as the Volumes of the Journals have been delivered."

Which Report, being read by the Clerk, was agreed to by the House; and Ordered accordingly.

Malt & Beer Duties, Petition from Banbury for Repeal of.

Upon reading the Petition of The Mayor, Aldermen, Capital Burgesses and Inhabitants of the Borough of Banbury and its Vicinity, whose Names are thereunto subscribed; praying, "That their Lordships will totally abolish all Duties existing on Malt and Beer:"

It is Ordered, That the said Petition do lie on the Table.
