Earl of Tyrconnel's Petition claiming a Right to vote for Peers for Ireland, referred to Com ee for Privileges:

Upon reading the Petition of John Delaval Earl of Tyrconnel, Viscount Carlingford and Baron Carpenter; setting forth, "That by Letters Patent under the Great Seal of Ireland, bearing Date the 1st Day of May in the First Year of the Reign of His late Majesty King George the Third, George Baron Carpenter of the Kingdom of Ireland, the Petitioner's Grandfather, was created Viscount Carlingford and Earl of Tyrconnel of the same Kingdom; and the same Titles were thereby limited to him and the Heirs Male of his Body for ever: That the Petitioner's said Grandfather died on the 9th Day of March 1762, leaving George Viscount Carlingford, the Petitioner's Uncle, his eldest Son and Heir, who thereupon succeeded to the said Titles of the Petitioner's Grandfather: That the Petitioner's said Uncle George Second Earl of Tyrconnel died on the 15th Day of April 1805, without Issue Male, whereupon the Petitioner's elder Brother George Carpenter (the eldest Son of the said Second Earl's deceased Brother Charles Carpenter) succeeded to the said Titles, as the next Heir Male of the Petitioner's Grandfather: That the Petitioner's said Brother George Third Earl of Tyrconnel died at Wilna, in Russia, in the Month of December 1812, without Issue, leaving the Petitioner his only Brother and Heir, who thereupon succeeded to the Titles of his said late Brother, and became Fourth Earl of Tyrconnel, and as such claims a Right to vote at the Election of Peers of Ireland to sit in the Parliament of the United Kingdom;" and therefore praying, "That his said Right may be admitted by their Lordships:"

Bulkley v. Wilford, Respondent's Petition respecting Appellant's Appendix, referred to Appeal Com ee.

Upon reading the Petition of Anna Wilford, Respondent in a Cause depending in this House, to which George Wilford Bulkley is Appellant; praying their Lordships, "That the new Appendix to the Appellant's Case, lodged under the Order of this House of the 12th Day of April last, on Report from the Appeal Committee, may be withdrawn; and that the said Appellant may, within Fourteen Days, lay on the Table of this House an Appendix confined to the Proceedings and Evidence on which the Decree and Orders appealed against were pronounced; or that the Petitioner may be at liberty to add to her Appendix the Affidavit filed by the Appellant in Support of his Application for a new Trial, and also the Affidavit of the Petitioner's Solicitor in Opposition thereto, and sworn respectively the 30th Day of May 1829 and the 15th Day of June following, and may be at liberty to file, nunc pro tunc, in the said Cause, such Affidavits as she may be advised, in answer to the Appellant's Affidavits filed in the said Suit on the 14th Day of July in that Year:"

It is Ordered, That the said Petition be referred to the Committee appointed to consider of the Causes in which Prints of the Appellants and Respondents Cases, now depending in this House in Matters of Appeals and Writs of Error, have not been delivered, pursuant to the Standing Orders of this House.

Sub-letting Act (Ireland) Amendment Bill presented.

Canada Timber, Petitions from Ayr, Saltcoats, &c. against Alteration of Duty on.

Upon reading the Petition of the Ship Owners, Merchants and others connected with and interested in the Shipping and North American Colonial Interests at the Port of Ayr, in Scotland, whose Names are thereunto subscribed; praying their Lordships "to preserve inviolate the present Rates of Duties exigible on Foreign and British Colonial Timber, by rejecting the proposed Measure for an Alteration of these Duties:"

Upon reading the Petition of the Ship Owners of the Port of Saltcoats and Ardrossan, whose Names are thereunto subscribed; praying their Lordships "to refuse their Assent to any Law for altering the relative Rate of Duties now payable on Foreign and Colonial Timber, by a Diminution of the former, or Increase of the latter:"
