Charles Cornet, an ignorant Fleming and a most shameless buffoon, who, neither with the bills of his condemnation, put up by him on all the corners of the City, nor in prison would ever desist from crime, being protected by Hugh Weston, the Dean of Westminster, and Roger Chamley. Nevertheless, by the authority of the laws, of the Lord Chancellor, of certain great men, and of the royal physicians Drs. Roper and Vagham, and by our diligence, his feigned and unwholesome remedies having been burned in the open market-place of Westminster, and in spite of Weston and Chamley, we put the condemned scoundrel to flight, even from refuge in which the grace of sanctuary is allowed, firstly at St. Martin's in London, secondly at Westminster, those also having been
