Three Commotts Roads Bill:

The Earl of Shaftesbury laid before the House, pursuant to an Order of the 17th of April last,

"A Return of the Civil, Ecclesiastical and Military Establishments of Jamaica, the Expences of which are defrayed by any Revenue raised in that Island; the Annual Amount of such Expences, and of any other Expenditure incurred, and which is defrayed by a Revenue raised in that Island; and of the Annual Ways and Means for raising such Revenue, during the last Ten Years."

And the Title thereof being read by the Clerk;

Sunderland Dock Bill, Petition against, referred to the Com ee.

Upon reading the Petition of the several Persons whose Names are thereunto subscribed, being the whole of the Wharfingers at Sunderland near the Sea, in the County of Durham; taking notice of a Bill depending in this House, intituled, "An Act for making and maintaining a Wet Dock on the North Side of the River Wear, at or near the Entrance of the Port of Sunderland, in the County Palatine of Durham;" and praying their Lordships, "That the same may not pass into a Law as it now stands, but that the Petitioners may be heard by their Counsel, Agents and Witnesses against such Parts of the said Bill as may affect them:"

A Petition of the Members of the Political Union of Edramine, in the County of Wexford, Ireland, was presented and read; praying their Lordships "to abolish the Law by which the Inhabitants of this Realm are compelled to pay Tithes and Church Rates, and to resume the Church Lands, and to dispose of them for Objects common to all the Inhabitants of this Realm:"

Upon reading the Petition of the Landholders of the Parish of Aglis, in the Diocese of Cork, whose Names are thereunto subscribed; praying their Lordships "to abolish Tithes and all compulsory Church Taxation; and first of all to reject the Bill for advancing £60,000 of the Public Money to the hereditary Oppressors of the People, and to hand over that Sum to be applied in arresting the Progress of the Asiatic Cholera in the Petitioners oppressed Country:"

Rebellion in Jamaica, Address for Report respecting.

Ordered, That an humble Address be presented to His Majesty, to request that His Majesty will be graciously pleased to order that there be laid before this House, "The Report of the Committee of the House of Assembly in Jamaica appointed to enquire into the Cause of and the Injury sustained by the recent Rebellion in that Colony; together with the Examinations on Oath, Confessions and other Documents thereto annexed."

King's County Assizes Bill:

The Order of the Day being read for the Third Reading of the Bill, intituled, "An Act for holding the Assizes for the King's County, in Ireland, Twice in every Year, at Tullamoore, instead of Philipstown;"

Tithes, (Ireland,) Petitions for Abolition of: (Kilbeheny:)

Upon reading the Petition of the Inhabitants of the Parish of Kilbeheny, in the County of Limerick, whose Names are thereunto subscribed; praying their Lordships totally to abolish the Payment of Tithes in Ireland, and apply the Church Lands to provide an ample and decent Maintenance for the Hierarchy and working Clergy of the Establishment, proportioned to the Amount of Labour and Duty they have to discharge in the Instruction and Spiritual Care of about Half a Million of Protestants; and that the Residue or Overplus of the immense Revenues accruing from these Church Lands may be appropriated and applied to the Uses and Purposes for which these Endowments were granted by the pious and charitable Donors, namely, as a Provision for the aged, the sick and the poor, and the building of Churches, Hospitals and Schools:"

Kilbrogan & Ballymoodan:
