Prayers.
ACcording to a former Order, the Grand Committee
of the House met, to take into Consideration the
Ordinance for Tonage and Poundage, and the Petition
of the Commissioners of the Customs, referred to this
Committee, and other the Affairs of the Navy: And
Mr. Reynolds sat in the Chair.
Mr. Speaker resumed the Chair.
Colonel Cromwell reports, from the Committee of both
Kingdoms, That the Papers from the Scotts Commissioners concerning their Advance, &c. may be taken into
present Consideration.
Ordered, That the Business concerning the Scotts Advance Southward, and the Ordinance for Raising of Monies
for them, be taken into Consideration To-morrow Morning, the first Business: And Mr. Speaker is to put the
House in mind thereof.
Resolved, &c. That the Scotts Commissioners be desired, from this House, that the Scotts Army may advance
Southward.
The Lords Concurrence be desired herein.
Ordered, That it be referred to the Committee of both
Kingdoms, to prepare a Letter to that Purpose for the Advance of the Scotts Army Southward; and to confer with
the Scotts Commissioners about the same.
Ordered, That an Allowance of Five Pounds apiece
shall be made to several Surgeons that are forthwith to
go with the Forces under the Command of Sir Wm.
Waller: And it is referred to the Committee at Haberdashers-Hall, forthwith to supply the said Parties with Five
Pounds apiece.
Ordered, That Mr. Bell do take special Care, forthwith
to furnish these Surgeons with good Medicaments for
this Expedition.
Ordered, That the Remainder of the Report concerning Sir William Waller, be resumed To-morrow Morning
the first Business.
