Prayers.
A Message from the Lords, by Sir Edward Leech and Mr. Page;
The Lords have commanded us to acquaint you, That they have agreed to that Paper, which you sent unto them, as an Answer to the Scottish Commissioners; and do think sit, that they should be made acquainted with it by the Members of both Houses that are of the Committee of both Kingdoms: Their Lordships have appointed theirs; and desire, That you will appoint yours, to join with them in it.
Resolved, &c. That this House doth agree with the Lords, That the Scotts Commissioners be made acquainted with the Answer to their Paper, by the Members of both Houses that are of the Committee of both Kingdoms: And that the Members of this House that are of that Committee, do join with the Lords in it.
Answer returned by the same Messengers;
The House hath considered your Message; and do agree, That the Answer to the Scotts Paper be communicated to them by the Members of both Houses that are of the Committee of both Kingdoms, as is desired.
Ordered, That Paul Best be brought by the Keeper of the Gatehouse, on Wednesday Morning next, and delivered over to the Serjeant at Arms attending on this House, and by him then brought to the Bar, or otherwise, as the House shall direct: And Mr. Serjeant is to take care hereof.
The House, according to Order, took into Consideration the Petition from the Assembly of Divines.
The which Petition, and the former Orders for referring the same, were read.
The Question was propounded, Whether the House shall first debate the Point concerning the Breach of Privilege in this Petition:
And the Question being put, Whether this Question shall be now put;
The House was divided.
The Noes went forth.
