A Message from the Lords, by Doctor Aylett and
Doctor Heath;
The Lords have commanded us to deliver unto you
the Articles of Faith: Which, upon due Consideration,
they have passed; and desire the Concurrence of this
House therein. They especially recommend unto this
House the humble Petition of Peter Massinnett. They
desire to put this House in mind of Mr. Roberts, formerly
recommended to this House to be of the Synod, and of
Mr. Horton to be of the Synod, in the place of Mr. Burrowes, deceased.
The Question was propounded, Whether the Answer
to this Message shall be, That the House will send Answer by Messengers of their own:
And the Question being put, Whether this Question
shall be now put;
It passed with the Affirmative: And
It is thereupon Resolved, &c. That the Answer to this
Message shall be, That this House will send Answer by
Messengers of their own.
Answer returned by the same Messengers; That this
House has considered their Lordships Message; and will
send Answer by Messengers of their own.
The House, according to former Order, took into
Consideration the Declaration prepared in Answer to the
Papers of the Scotts Commissioners, concerning the Disposal of the Person of the King; and read it, in Parts;
and passed the greatest Part of it.
Resolved, &c. That the House do resume the Consideration of this Declaration To-morrow Morning, the first
Business: And that no other Business intervene; notwithstanding any former Order for any other Business.
