Wednesday, the 8th of October, 1651.

Prayers.

Sitting of this Parliament.

MR. Lechmere reports from the Committee to whom it was referred to prepare a Bill for the setting a Time certain for the sitting of this Parliament, and for Calling a new Parliament, the said Bill: Which was this Day read the First time; and, upon the Question, ordered to be read the Second time on Friday Morning next.

Propagating the Gospel.

Ordered, That the Amendments to the Act for Propagation of the Gospel, be reported on this Day Sevennight: And that the Committee, to whom the same is referred, do meet this Afternoon; and sit de die in diem.

Regulating the Law.

Ordered, That the Committee for regulating the Law be revived; and sit To-morrow in the Afternoon, at Two of Clock, in the Speaker's Chamber; and so de die in diem: With Power to confer with what Persons they shall think fit: And to send for Persons, Papers, Witnesses, and what else may conduce to the Business; and to report to the House from time to time, as often as they shall think fit.

Ordered, That the Report formerly made from the Committee for regulating the Law, be proceeded in To-morrow Morning.

Blasphemies and Heresies.

Ordered, That the Ordinance, intituled, "An Ordinance of the Lords and Commons assembled in Parliament for the punishing of Blasphemies and Heresies," be brought in, and read on Wednesday next, for the House's further Consideration thereof.

Suppressing Popery.

Ordered, That the Bill for suppressing Popery be brought in on Wednesday next.
