Racovian Catechism.
ORDERED, That Mr. Millington do make the
Report in his Hands on this Day Sevennight, from
the Committee to whom the Racovian Catechism is
referred.
Dover Pier.
Ordered, That, on this Day Sevennight, the Report
touching the Pier of Dover be made by Colonel Morley,
next after Mr. Millington's Report.
Highways.
Ordered, That the Amendments to the Bill for repairing of the Highways be reported on this Day Sevennight,
after the several Reports aforesaid.
Scotch Affairs.
Sir Henry Vane junior reports, from the Council of
State, the humble Assent of the Borough of Glascow in
Scotland, with the Desires of the said Borough: Which
were this Day read.
He also reports the Dissent of the Stewartry of Kirkcudbright: Which was this Day read.
He also reports the Assent of the Deputies of the
Borough of Inverness; and the Answers and Desires of
the Deputies of the Shires of Pearth and Kirkealdy.
He also reports the Paper, from the Commissioners for
the Parliament in Scotland, concerning the Proceedings
with the Lord of Arguile, at Dunbarton: Which was
this Day read.
Ordered, That the said Paper be referred to the Council of State: Who are to take into Consideration what is
fit to be done in relation to the Highlands in Scotland;
and for settling the same to the best Advantage, and Security of this Commonwealth; and to give Order therein,
accordingly.
Resolved, That the Names of these Shires and Boroughs, now reported, be inserted, by the Clerk into the
Declaration passed Yesterday.
Delinquents Estates.
Colonel Fielder reports from the Committee of the
Navy;
UPON reading the Petition of Robert Mason Gentleman, hereunto annexed, praying, that he may be admitted to compound for such Real and Personal Estate
of the late Archbishop of Canterbury, as is yet undiscovered; and which hath not been under Sequestration,
at the same Rate that Mr. Robinson was admitted; and
this Committee being informed, that the said Discovery
will amount to near 14,000£.;
Resolved, That it be reported to the Parliament, as the
Opinion of this Committee, that the Parliament will be
pleased to admit the said Robert Mason to compound for
such Part of the Real and Personal Estate of the said late
Archbishop of Canterbury, which already hath not been
discovered, or under Sequestration, at the Rate of Twothirds, to be employed for the Service of the Navy.
Resolved, That Robert Mason Gentleman be admitted
to compound for such Part of the Real and Personal
Estate of the late Archbishop of Canterbury, which already hath not been discovered, or under Sequestration,
at the Rate of Two-thirds, to be employed for the Service of the Navy.
Ordered, That the Committee of the Navy have the
like Orders and Powers in this Case, for bringing in the
Estate, Real and Personal, of the said late Archbishop
of Canterbury, which shall be so discovered, as was given
them in Robinson's Case: And to dispose of Two Parts
of the said Money which shall be so discovered, to the
Use of the Navy; and that the Petitioner Robert Mason
have the Third Part to his own Use.
Fens.
Mr. John Goodwyn reports the State of Matter of Fact
touching the Fens of Boston, Bourne, and Kyme, in the
County of Lincoln, subscribed by the Counsel on both
Sides; together with the Examinations: Which were read.
A Petition was presented to the Parliament, intituled,
" The humble Petition of us whose Names are hereunto
annexed, on the Behalf of ourselves and others, the Lords,
Owners, and Commoners, of and in the Fens belonging
to Holland and Kesteven, in the County of Lincoln, lying
between Bourn and Kyme, say."
Resolved, That this Petition be now read: And the
said Petition was read accordingly.
Resolved, That the Debate upon this Report be taken
up on Wednesday Sevennight next; the first Business,
nothing to intervene.
The House, according to former Order, adjourned
itself to Tuesday Morning next, Eight of Clock.
