RESOLVED, That there be a general Inquiry of
all Persons that are in Prisons for criminal Causes;
and the several Causes of the Commitment of such Persons respectively.
The Question being propounded, That this Business
be referred to a Committee of this House;

A Letter from on board the Elizabeth Frigate in the
Downes, 4th of October 1653, from Chr. Mynge, was
this Day read.
Resolved, That it be referred to the Council of State,
to take Notice of the Service of the Captain of this Ship;
and to give what Encouragement they shall think fit; and
to take into Consideration the Widow and Children of the
Master, who was slain, as they shall think fit.
