Southam Minister.

RESOLVED, That Mr. Samuell Andrewes be, and hereby is, settled and continued Minister of Southam in the County of Warwick, in the Place of Mr. Francis Holyoke, deceased.

Galway.

Resolved, That the Business of Galway shall be considered on Wednesday Morning next.

Sir M. Lister, &c.

Resolved, That the Report from the Council, touching the Business of Sir Martin Lister and Hugh May, shall be heard on Wednesday Morning next.

Leave of Absence.

Resolved, That Mr. Eresey have Leave to be absent for Six Weeks.

Presentations to Benefices.

Resolved, That the Bill touching the taking away the Power of Patrons to present to Benefices, be reported on Thursday next.

Excise.

The House proceeded in the Report made Yesterday of the Rates for the Excise: And

Resolved, by the Parliament, as followeth:



	s.	d.
For every Ounce Troy of Silver or Gold prepared, melted down, or disgrossed for Wire, to be paid at the Bar where the same shall be disgrossed	-	4
For every Pound Weight, containing Sixteen Ounces Avoirdupois, of any Copper, or other Metal, that shall be prepared, made fit, or disgrossed, to be paid at the Bar, where the same shall be disgrossed	1	-
For all Linseed-Oil, Whale-Oils, Blubber-Oil, Rape-Oil, Pilchard-Oil, and all other Oils, made within this Commonwealth, upon every Ton, to be paid by the Maker	5	-
For every Foder of Lead, containing Two thousand Pounds Weight, at One hundred and Twelve Pounds to the Hundred, to be paid by the Maker	5	-
For all Salt made, or to be made, within England, Wales, or Town of Berwick, which ... or shall be shipped or conveyed by Water, to be paid by the first Buyer, of such Salt, at the Place of Landing, or Unloading thereof, upon every Gallon	-	-½

The Question being put, That these Words be added to the former Question; viz. "except Salt made upon Sand;"

It passed with the Negative.

Col. Lilburne.

The Question being propounded, That the Lieutenant of the Tower of London be enjoined and required to detain and keep the Body of Lieutenant-Colonel John Lilburne in safe Custody in the Tower of London, and not to remove or carry him from thence; notwithstanding any Habeas Corpus granted, or to be granted, for that Purpose by the Court of Upper-Bench, or any other Court, until the Parliament take further Order;

And the Question being put, That that Question be now put;

It passed in the Affirmative.

And the main Question being put; it was

Resolved, by the Parliament, That the Lieutenant of the Tower of London be enjoined and required to detain and keep the Body of Lieutenant John Lilburne in safe Custody, in the Tower of London, and not to remove or carry him from thence, notwithstanding any Habeas Corpus granted, or to be granted, for that Purpose, by the Court of Upper-Bench, or any other Court, until the Parliament take further Order.

Petition from Leicester.

The House being informed, That some Leicestershire Gentlemen were at the Door;

They were ordered to be called in: And being come to the Bar, they presented a Petition: Which, after the Petitioners were withdrawn, was read; and was intituled, The humble Petition of divers the Well-affected Inhabitants of the Borough and County of Leicester.

The Question being put, That this Petition be committed;

The House was divided.
