Settling the Government.
THE House, according to former Order, took into
Debate the Matter of Government.
But, in the Debate, The Question being propounded,
That no Act or Ordinance declaring the Offences of
Treason, doth extend to prejudice Freedom of Speech in
And the Question being put, That that Question be
The House was divided.
The Noes went forth.

So it passed in the Negative.
Resolved, upon the Question, That the Subject-Matter
of the Debate To-morrow Morning shall be, Whether
the House shall approve the Government shall be in one
Single Person and a Parliament.
