THE Earl of Salisbury reports His Highness the Lord Protector's Concurrence to the Declaration for the Fast.
Ordered, That it be referred to the Council, to take Care, that the Declarations be sent speedily abroad.
Ordered, That Mr. Venning be excused from assisting in this House, in the Work of the Day of Humiliation, on the 11th of October next.
Ordered, That Mr. George Griffith, of the CharterHouse, be desired to be assisting in Carrying-on the Work of the Day of Fasting and Humiliation, in this House, on the 11th of October next: And that CommissaryGeneral Whaley do give him Notice hereof.
Settling the Government.
The House, according to former Order, took up the Debate upon the Government.
The First Article was now read.
Resolved, That the House be resolved into a Committee of the whole House, to take the Government into Debate and Consideration.
Mr. Speaker left the Chair.
Mr. Hoskins was called to the Chair.
Mr. Speaker resumed the Chair.
Mr. Hoskins reports from the Grand Committee, The Desire of the said Committee, that the House may be resolved into a Committee of the whole House Tomorrow Morning, to proceed in this Business.
Resolved, That the House be resolved into a Committee of the whole House To-morrow Morning, to proceed in this Business.
