Prayers.

Settling the Government.

THE House, according to former Order, was this Day resolved into a Committee of the whole House, upon the Bill for the Government.

Mr. Speaker left the Chair.

Mr. Hoskins took the Chair.

Mr. Speaker resumed the Chair.

Mr. Hoskins reports from the said Committee, That the Committee hath gone through Five of the Chapters of the Bill, with some Alterations and Additions: And desires the further Direction of the House.

Resolved, That the Bill, and the Report, be received into the House.

Mr. Hoskins reports, several Amendments made by the Committee of the whole House upon the Bill touching the Government.
