Mercurii, 17 Maii

Privilege- Imprisonment of a Member.

Mr. Tho. Jermyn: - That the King hath given him Leave to let the House know, that his Majesty himself told him, Sir D. Digges spake the Words, where-with he is charged; and that he did it out of divers Mens Noes taken at the Conference : And that now his Majesty being satisfied, he himself doth constantly believe, Sir D. Digges did not speak those Words, or Words to any such Effect.

Members sent for.

The Serjeant sent down with his Mace, to fetch Mr. Glanvyle, and all the Lawyers, to attend the Service of the House.

Heads of Conference.

Mr. Glanvyle reporteth from the Committee, to prepare Heads for the Conference with the Lords; and tendereth the Heads in Writing: Which were twice read by the Clerk.

Upon Question, re-committed: - Two Clock in the Afternoon, in the Star-chamber.

Privilege - Imprisonment of a Member.

The House turned into a grand Committee upon the Business concerning Sir Jo. Ellyott.

Upon Question, the House to be adjourned till Friday Morning, saving the Sub-committee now appointed.

The House adjourneth itself accordingly. This pronounced by Mr. Speaker.
