Wednesday, the 16th of February, 1658.

Prayers.

Shoreham Writ.

MR. Whaley being chosen to serve as a Member in this present Parliament for the Town of Nottingham, and also for the Borough of Shoreham in the County of Sussex, declared, That he did make Choice to serve for the Town of Nottingham; and waved his Election for the Borough of Shoram.

Ordered, That a new Writ be issued, for the Election of a Burgess to serve in this present Parliament for the Borough of Shoram in the County of Sussex: And that Mr. Speaker do send his Warrant to the Clerk of the Commonwealth in Chancery, for the Issuing of a new Writ, for the Election of a Burgess to serve for the Borough of Shoram, accordingly.

Privilege- Case of Nevill and Strowde.

Ordered, That Counsel on both Sides be heard at the Bar of this House on Saturday next, in the Cause between Mr. Nevill, and Mr. Strowde, late Sheriff of the County of Berks.

Recognizing Protector's Title.

Ordered, That this House do take into Consideration the additional Clauses, to be Part of the Bill, intituled, An Act of Recognition, &c. To-morrow Morning, at Nine of the Clock.

Treasury Accompts.

Ordered, That the Accompts, concerning the Publick Treasure, left in the Hands of Mr. Sherwyn, one of the Members of this House, by the Commissioners of the Treasury, be delivered in to the House by him, Tomorrow Morning, at the first Coming of Mr. Speaker to the Chair:

Army and Navy Accompts.

And that the Establishment of the Army, from the Committee of the Army, and the Accompt of the present Charge and Debt owing to the Navy from the Commissioners of the Admiralty and Navy, be then also delivered in to the House, by the Members of this House, who are employed in those Services, and in whose Hands respectively the said Establishment and Accompt do remain.
