Friday, June 3d, 1659.
Privilege.
MR. Speaker acquainted the House, that the Justices
of the Court of Common-Pleas had informed him,
That a Record in that Court is adjourned to the Parliament for Difficulty; and desired, That the Parliament
might be moved to appoint some time for them to attend
the Parliament with the said Record, that the House
might be possessed thereof.
Ordered, That the Justices of the Court of Common-Pleas do bring the said Record, adjourned by that Court
to the Parliament for Difficulty, into this House, To-morrow Morning.
Great Seal.
Sir Arthur Hesilrig reports, from the Council of State,
the Names of Persons to be Commissioners to have the
Custody of the Great Seal; viz. Serjeant Bradshawe, Mr.
* Terryll, Josiah Barners, Mr. Serjeant Fountaine.
Resolved, That the Commissioners to have the Custody
of the Great Seal be Three; and that the Quorum be
any Two of them.
Resolved, That John Bradshaw Serjeant at Law be
one of the Commissioners for the Custody of the Great
Seal.
Resolved, That Thomas Terryll Esquire be one of the
Commissioners for the Custody of the Great Seal.
The Question being propounded, that John Fountaine
Serjeant at Law be one of the Commissioners for the
Custody of the Great Seal;
The House was divided.

So it was Resolved, That John Fountaine Serjeant at
Law be one of the Commissioners for the Custody of
the Great Seal.
The Question being propounded, That the said Commissioners shall continue Commissioners for Custody of
the Great Seal, until the Twentieth of October 1659;
And the Question being put, That this Question be
now put;
It passed with the Affirmative.
And the main Question being put; It was
Resolved, That the said Commissioners shall continue
Commissioners for Custody of the Great Seal, until the
Twentieth of October 1659.
Ordered, That Mr. Love do acquaint the said Commissioners with these Votes; and desire them to attend
this House to receive the Great Seal into their Custody,
accordingly, To-morrow Morning.
