Prayers.

Duke of Hamilton's Goods.

A MESSAGE from the Lords, by Dr. Aylett and Mr. Eltonhead;

The Lords have commanded us to put this House in mind of a Message, formerly sent to this House; That as well the Pictures as other Goods of the Lord Duke Hamilton be restored unto him, being in the Custody of the Earl of Denbigh, according to the Desires of the Parliament of Scotland, by Letter to both Houses in that behalf.

Ordered, That as well the Pictures as other Goods of the Lord Duke Hamilton, in the Custody of the Earl of Denbigh, or any other, be restored unto the said Duke Hamilton, or such as by him are appointed to receive the same.

Answer returned by the same Messengers; That this House has considered their Lordships Message: And do agree, That as well the Pictures as other Goods of the Duke Hamilton's, in the Custody of the Earl of Denbigh, or others, be restored, as is desired.

Dr. Usher.

The humble Petition of Dr. James Usher was read.

Resolved, &c. That Dr. James Usher shall have Leave to preach at Lincolne's Inn, according to the Desire of his Petition.

Resolved, &c. That Dr. James Usher shall have Leave to go to sit with the Assembly of Divines, as one of the said Assembly.

Dispatches to Isle of Wight.

Ordered, That the Governor of Portsmouth do take care, that all such Letters and Packets as shall come from Both or Either Houses of Parliament, directed to the Governor of the Isle of Wight, may with Speed and Diligence, be sent unto him.

Bridgnorth Petition.

Ordered, That the Petition from the Town of Bridgnorth in the County of Salop be read on Monday Morning next, the first Business, after the Reports from Goldsmiths Hall.

Sheriffs.

Ordered, That, on Monday Morning next, the Business for settling the Sheriffs be reported.

Transporting Wool, &c.

Mr. Myles-Corbett reports the Amendments to the Ordinance for inhibiting the Transportation of Wool and Fullers Earth: The which were twice read; and, upon the Question, assented unto: And the Ordinance, so amended, upon the Question, passed; and is ordered to be sent unto the Lords for their Concurrence.

Irish Wool.

Resolved, &c. That no Wool, of the Growth of Ireland, be transported in any Ship, or Vessel, into any Parts out of that Kingdom, except into the Kingdom of England, and Dominion of Wales, upon any Warrant or Pretence whatsoever, upon Pain of Forfeiture of the said Wools: And that the Commissioners and Officers of the Customs and Ports in that Kingdom do take effectual Care, and employ their Diligence, that this Order be duly observed: And that they be very careful to take good Security, to the double Value of the Wools shipped, That the Transporters will unship and deliver the said Wools in some Port of the Kingdom of England, or Dominion of Wales; and that they will not transport the said Wools into any other Port or Place whatsoever: And that they do bring Certificate, that they have delivered the same accordingly: And that the Governors of the Provinces, and Commanders in Chief of the Forces in that Kingdom, do give Order and Charge, and take Care, that all the Officers of Ports, whom it may concern, do duly observe this Order.

London Assessments.

Ordered, That the Members of this House, that serve for the City of London, do immediately go into the City; and employ their best Endeavours for the speedy Bringing in of the Sixth Month's Assessments of Sixty thousand Pounds; and give an Account thereof to the House on Tuesday Morning next.

Committee or Grievances.

Ordered, That the Committee appointed to consider of publick Grievances shall have Power to send for Parties, Witnesses, Papers, Records: And that the said Committee, and Order to them, be forthwith printed.

Ordered, That the Reports that shall be tendered from the Committee for publick Grievances shall have the Precedence in being heard before other.

Mr. Rigby.

Ordered, That, on Monday Morning next, the first Business after the Reports from Goldsmiths Hall, the Report concerning Mr. Alexander Rigby be made: And that Mr. Speaker put the House in mind hereof.

Navy, &c.

Ordered, That the Ordinance concerning marked Papers and Parchments be read on Monday Morning next, at Ten of Clock: And that, at the same time, the House do take into Consideration the Raising of Monies for the further Supply of the Navy.

Ordered, That the Committee of the Navy do consider of some fitting Ways and Means for raising some Improvement for Supply of the Navy.

Master of Trinity College.

Ordered, That the Solicitor General do prepare a Patent, to pass the Great Seal, for making Dr. Thomas Hill Master of Trinity College: And that the Commissioners of the Great Seal be hereby authorized to pass the said Grant, so prepared under the Great Seal, accordingly.

Letters concerning the King.

Ordered, That, on Monday Morning next, at Ten of Clock, the Committee for Collecting of Letters and Papers do report such Letters as are come to their Hands concerning the King.

Publishing Libels, &c.

Ordered, That it be referred to the Committee appointed for publick Grievances, to consider of and prepare some more effectual Ordinance for suppressing the Printing and Publishing of scandalous and libellous Pamphlets.

Stationers Company.

Ordered, That on Tuesday Morning next, Mr. Selden do report the Ordinance in his Hands concerning the Company of Stationers.
