Prayers.
Bromley Manor House.
ORDERED, That the Lords Concurrence be desired
in the Order of the Twentieth of April 1648, for the
High Sheriff of Kent to remove Dr. Warner, and all other
Persons in Possession of the Manor House of Bromley in
Kent, out of the said House; and to deliver the Possession
thereof to Augustine Skynner Esquire, or such Persons as
he shall authorize, under his Hand and Seal, to receive
the same.
Oxford University.
Mr. Rous reports from the Committee of Lords and
Commons for Reformation of the University of Oxford.
Ordered, That the Thanks of this House be given to
the Earl of Pembroke, Chancellor of the University of Oxon,
for his great Care and Pains taken in settling the University of Oxon according to the Authority of Parliament;
And Sir Gilbert Gerard, the Chancellor of the Duchy, and
Mr. Rous are appointed to give Thanks to the said
Chancellor of the said University of Oxon accordingly.
Ordered, That, in regard of the late Contempt of Fellows, Officers, and Members, of Colleges, in Oxford, to
the Authority of Parliament, the Visitors may send a new
Summons for all Fellows, Officers, and Members, of the
several Colleges and Halls: And, if they do not appear, or
appearing, shall not submit to the Authority of Parliament
in the Visitation, that then the Visitors shall have Power
to suspend for the present; and certify the same to the
Committee of Lords and Commons for Reformation
of the University of Oxon: Who, upon the Certificate
thereof, shall have Power to remove and deprive them
from their Places in the respective Colleges and Halls;
and to expel them from the University: And, upon Certificate thereof from this Committee, the Heads of
Houses, in their respective Colleges and Halls, with the
Visitors, shall put others in their places.
Ordered, That the Order above-written be forthwith
printed: And that the Visitor of the University of Oxon
do forthwith publish the said Order in the said University
of Oxford.
Ordered, That the Boursers and Treasurers of the Colleges in Oxford shall retain and keep such Monies as they
have received, without making any Dividend, until they
shall receive Order from the Committee of Lords and
Commons for Reformation of the University of Oxon:
And that from henceforth all Tenants, and such others as
are to pay any Money, or other Duties, to any College
in the University of Oxford, shall pay the same to the
Heads of Houses appointed by Authority of Parliament,
respectively, or to those whom they shall appoint to
receive the same, and to no other: And that the Acquittance or Acquittances of such Heads of Houses, or of
such as they shall appoint to receive the same, shall be a
sufficient Warrant and Discharge to the several Tenants
for the Payment thereof accordingly, notwithstanding
any Condition in their Leases to the contrary.

Message to Lords
Mr. Rous carried to the Lords, for their Concurrence,
the several Orders touching Oxford; and the Order for
putting Augustine Skynner Esquire into the Possession of the
Manor House of Bromley in Kent, and other Lands.
Answer.
Mr. Rous brings Answer from the Lords, That their
Lordships do agree to the several Particulars of the
Message by him carried to their Lordships.
St. Albans Minister.
The humble Petition of the Inhabitants of the Borough
of St. Albans, was read.
Ordered, That the Remainder of the Impropriate Rectory
of Ashwell, belonging to the late dissolved Bishoprick of
London, be settled for Maintenance of a Preaching Minister
in the Borough of St. Albans, without Prejudice.
An Ordinance for settling of a competent Maintenance
of a Preaching Minister in the Borough of St. Albans,
out of the Impropriate Rectories of Ashwell and Rickmensworth, belonging to the late dissolved Bishoprick of
London, was this Day read; and, upon the Question,
committed unto the Committee for plundered Ministers:
And they are to report it on Friday Morning next.
Rector of Ecclestion.
An Ordinance, formerly sent from the Lords, for the
Making of Mr. Edward Gee Rector of the Church of
Eccleston, and for providing for the Chapel of Dowglasse,
in the said Parish of Eccleston, was this Day read; . . .

Rector of Standishe.
An Ordinance for making of Mr. Paul Latham Rector
of the Church of Standishe, formerly sent from the Lords,
was this Day read; and, upon the Question, passed.
Bath Ministers.
An Ordinance for settling Maintenance of Preaching
Ministers in the City of Bath, formerly sent from the
Lords, was this Day read; and, upon the Question,
committed unto Mr. Harrington, Mr. Lane, and Mr.
Stephens: Who are presently to withdraw upon it.
Rector of Whiberton.
An Ordinance, formerly sent from the Lords, for
making Mr. Thomas Lawe Rector of Whiberton in the
County of Lincolne, during the natural Life of Hugh
Barcrost Clerk, late Rector there, and ejected by Authority of Parliament, was this Day read; and, upon the
Question, passed.
Marston Moysey Parish.
An Ordinance for making the Chapel of Marston Moysey
in the County of Wiltess Parochial, dictinct from the
Parochial Church of Moysey Hampton in the County of
Gloucester, was read: And, putting in these Words, in Line
Twenty-third, "is intended to," instead of these Words
"of * * per Annum, will;" the Ordinance passed.
London Tythes, &c.
Ordered, That the Ordinance for the better Payment of
Tythes and Duties to the Ministers within the City of
London, lately passed both Houses, be forthwith printed
and published.
Securing Delinquents.
An Ordinance for securing and disarming Delinquents,
and preventing Tumults and Insurrections by them, was
this Day read the First and Second time.
Resolved, &c. That these Words, "as they shall have
Occasion to suspect to be adhering to," shall be left out
of this Ordinance.
The Question being put, That the Word "actually"
shall be put to the Word "adhere;"
