Prayers.
Coxhall, &c. Poor.
ORDERED, That these Words; viz. "or to report
to the House where the Defect is, and how the Poor
may be relieved;" be added to the Order Yesterday,
touching the Poor of Coxhall and Debenham.
Bosvile's Accounts.
Ordered, That it be specially recommended to the
Committee of Accompts, to audite the Accompts of Colonel Bosvile, a Member of this House; And that what
shall appear to be due unto him, upon his Accompts,
shall be paid unto him, out of such Delinquents Estates
as he shall discover to the Committee at Haberdashers
Hall: And that it be referred to the Committee at Haberdashers Hall, to take care that it be done accordingly.
Fitz James' Claims.
Mr. Trenchard reports from the Committee of Sequestrations, touching Mrs. Joan Fitz James, That there is
a Debt of Eleven hundred Pounds due to her, by Bond,
from George Lord Digby, and Seven Years Interest, the
Eighteenth of June 1648: And that the Committee did
order, That it should be reported to the House, That the
Farm called Candle Wake Court may be allotted unto her,
for Satisfaction of her Debt and Interest.
Ordered, That Mrs. Joan Fitz James shall from henceforth have the Possession of the Capital Messuage, Farm,
and Tenement, with the Appurtenances, called Candle
Wake Court, in the County of Dorset; and shall have and
receive the Rents, Issues, and Profits thereof, upon Account, until this House may take her Case into further
Consideration, and take other Order: And the Committee of Sequestrations for the County of Dorset are to take
notice hereof; and take Order, That the Possession be
delivered to the said Mrs. Joan Fitz James; and that she
be permitted to hold the same accordingly.
Throckmorton's Arrears.
Ordered, That it be referred to the Committee at
Haberdashers Hall, to pay unto Lieutenant Colonel
Throckmorton such Arrears as are due unto him, out of
the Estates of such Delinquents as he shall discover to the
said Committee, not formerly discovered.
Admission of Members.
The Question being propounded, That Edward Lord
Howard, being nearly chosen and returned for a Burgess
or Citizen for the City of Carlisle, be now admitted into
the House, as a Member of this House, he coming in
upon a new Election;
And the Question being put, That that Question be
now put;
It was resolved in the Affirmative.
And the main Question being put;
It was Resolved, &c. That Edward Lord Howard,
being newly chosen and returned for a Burgess or Citizen
for the City of Carlisle, be now admitted into the House,
as a Member of this House, upon that new Election.
Resolved, &c. That * Nevill * being newly chosen,
and returned for a Burgess, to serve in this present Parliament for the Town of Retford in the County of Nottingham, be admitted into the House, as a Member of this
House, upon that new Election.
Elections and Representatives.
Ordered, That the Business touching due Elections, and
an equal Representative, be taken into Consideration on
Wednesday next, the first Business: And that nothing do
intervene: And Mr. Speaker is to put the House in mind
thereof.
Deans and Chapters Lands.
The Lord Grey reports from the Council of State,
touching Instructions to be passed for the Trustees for
Sale of Deans and Chapters Lands, and touching the
Treasuries of Goldsmiths Hall, and the Excise.
Ordered, That Mr. John Corbett do bring in the Instructions for the Trustees for Sale of Deans and Chapters
Lands, on Monday Morning: And that Mr. Reynolds
and Mr. Say be added to those Members formerly appointed to prepare, and bring in, those Instructions.
Resolved, &c. That the several Sums referred upon the
Receipts of Goldsmiths Hall, and the Excise, for the Use
of the Commonwealth, in the room of the like Sums
transferred upon the Security of Deans and Chapters
Lands, shall, as they come due, in Course, be employed
for the Supply of the Forces in England and Ireland, and
for the Use of the Navy; and shall be issued out for those
Uses, by Warrant from the Council of State: Which the
Treasurers of the said respective Receipts are required to
observe accordingly.
Army.
Ordered, That the Two Troops of Horse, under the
Command of Captain Sharpe, and Captain Sherpedson,
in the County of Durham, formerly ordered to be kept
up by Sir Arthur Heslerigg, for Defence of the said County, be forthwith disbanded: And that the Committee of
the said County do see the same done accordingly.
Clothiers.
Ordered, That the Report touching Clothiers be made
This-day-fortnight.
Sir H. Owen.
Ordered, That the Report touching Sir Hugh Owen
be made on Tuesday Morning next.
Foxley.
Ordered, That the Report touching Mr. Foxley be made
on Tuesday Morning next.
Granting Passes.
Ordered, That such Cavaliers as were in Pontfract
Castle at Surrender thereof, and have Major General
Lambert's Pass to go beyond Sea, have Passes from Mr.
Speaker to go beyond Seas, according to the Articles
given them upon Surrender of Pontefract Castle: And
that Mr. Speaker do grant them Passes accordingly.
Anglesey Delinquents.
Mr. Scott reports from the Council of State * * * *.
Ordered, That Mr. Scott and Colonel Wauton do bring
in the like Act for the Compositions of Delinquents in
Anglesey, as there was for South Wales.
Embassy from Holland.
Ordered, That Sir Henry Myldmay do make his Report from the Council of State, touching the States Ambassador, on Friday next.
Articles.
Ordered, That it be referred to a Committee, to consider of some Way, whereby such Persons as are Comprised within Articles, and have not forfeited the Benefit
thereof, either by their own Neglect, or otherwise, may
have such Right as by those Articles they ought to have;
and to present it to the House: Viz. unto Colonel Marten, Lieutenant General Cromwell, Mr. Lister, Mr. Skinner, Sir Arthur Hesilrige, Mr. Garland, Colonel Jones,
Mr. Allen, Colonel Moore. Sir Peter Wentworth, Commissary General Ireton, Colonel Wauton, Colonel Rich,

Colonel Rich reports an Act touching the examining
and stating the Accounts of the Officers and Soldiers:

and, upon the Question, committed to the Committee of
the Army: And that Colonel Rich, Commissary General
Ireton, be added to the Committee of the Army for this
Purpose: And that it be brought in on Tuesday Morning:
