PRAYERS.
Dr. Smyth.
THE House this Day resumed the Debate upon the
Petition of Sebastian Smyth Doctor in Divinity.
Resolved, That the said Sebastian Smith be allowed
Three score Pounds per Annum during his Life, out of
the Twenty thousand Pounds per Annum reserved for the
Maintenance of the Ministry, and Encouragement of
Learning: And that the Trustees for Deans and Chapters
Lands do make Payment thereof unto him in the mean
time, until the Act for the Twenty thousand Pounds per
Annum take place.
Ordered, That it be recommended to the Trustees in
the said Act touching the Twenty thousand Pounds:
Who are authorized and required to make Payment of
the said Three-score Pounds per Annum unto the said Dr.
Smyth, out of the Profits arising by the Premisses vested
in them by the said Act.
Fullers Earth, &c.
Ordered, That the Commissioners of the Navy have
Power, and be authorized, upon any emergent Occasion,
to restrain such Persons as shall offend against the Act
and Ordinances of Parliament, concerning the Restraint
of transporting Fullers Earth and Wools, in order to be
proceeded against in ordinary Course of Law.
Grant to Arthington.
The Question being propounded, That Twenty Shillings per Week be allowed and paid unto Mrs. Arthington, for Six Months, upon Account, for her present
Maintenance and Subsistence, out of Haberdashers Hall;
And the Question being put, That that Question be
now ...;
It passed with the Affirmative.
And the main Question being put;
It was Resolved, &c. That Twenty Shillings a Week
be allowed and paid unto Mrs. Arthington, for Six Months,
upon Account, for her present Maintenance: And that
the same be charged upon Haberdashers Hall: And the
Committee of Haberdashers Hall, and their Treasurers,
are authorized and required to pay the same accordingly.
Pensions.
Ordered, That it be referred to a Committee, to examine what Pensions have been already given by the Parliament; and to consider which are sit to be continued,
and which not; and to consider of the several Petitions
of Dame Joyce Blundell, Elizabeth Willoughby, Mildred
Russell, Mary Crow, Mary Boyle, Susanna Abercromy,
Mary Cowell, Dame Mary Leigh, Grace Burrell, Sarah
Babington, Mary Forbes, Grace Smyth, Anne Hopkinson,
Lady Joan Countess of Kildare, Joan Newman, Margaret Roode, Mrs. Orton, and Mrs. Shambrook; and which
of them are fit to have Pensions allowed to them; and
report the same to the House: Viz. Colonel Thompson,
Mr. Challener, Mr. Robinson, Mr. Millington, Sir Wm.
Armyn, Colonel Fleetwood, Mr. Scott, Colonel Jones, Mr.
Cawley, Mr. Bacon, Sir Richard Lucy, Colonel Ludlow,
Mr. Garland, Captain Smyth, Mr. Hodges, Mr. Weston,
Mr. Holland, Mr. Darley, Colonel Sydenham, Mr. Dove,
Sir John Danvers, Colonel Rich, Sir Gilbert Pickering,
Colonel Fielder, Mr. Rawley; or any Five of them:
And to meet in the Exchequer Chamber, To-morrow at
Two of the Clock in the Afternoon; and so de die in diem:
With Power to send to the several Committees and Treasurers; and to receive Information from them, what Pensions have been paid, and to whom; and to make Report of the whole Matter to this House.
And Mr. Dove and Colonel Fielder are to take care
of it.

this Day read.
Ordered, That the said Petition be referred to the
same Committee; to consider of a Way, how the Petitioner may be speedily satisfied; and report the same to
the House.
