Savernack Parish.

ORDERED, That the Bill for erecting a Church, settling a Ministry, and establishing a Parish, in the Forest or Chace of Savernack, and Parks of Brimslade and Savernack, and Parts adjacent belonging to the said Forest, be read To-morrow Morning.

Fast-day.

Ordered, That his Majesty be humbly moved to issue out a Proclamation for the observing of a publick Day of Humiliation throughout all England and Wales, and the Town of Berwick upon Tweed, in respect of the immoderate Rain and Waters; and to beseech God to divert the Judgments threatened thereby; and that the Lords Concurrence be desired herein: And Mr. Lowther is to carry up the Order.

Holland Parish.

Ordered, That the Bill brought in for the new Erection of the Parish of Holland, in the County of Lancaster, and endowing the Rectory of the said Parish, be read on Thursday next.

Ordered, That the Bill against Vagabonds and Rogues, be read To-morrow Morning.

Countess of Shrewsbury's, &c. Nat.

A Bill for the Naturalization of Anne Countess of Shrewsbury, and several others, was this Day read the First time.

Resolved, That the same be read again the Second time on this Day Sevennight.

Harbin's Estate.

Sir William Doyley reports from the Committee for the Bill to enable John Harbin Esquire to make Sale of his Lands to pay his Debts, and make Provision for younger Children, an Amendment to be added in Fol. 7°, Linea 19°, as followeth; "Other than the said, &c."

And Sir William Doyley further reports, that the said Committee had examined the Deed in the Bill mentioned, as to the Uses, and other Circumstances, and found the same to be such as in the Bill is set forth; and that Colonel Francis Windham, who was intrusted for the Children, who are now all at Age, had given Satisfaction to the said Committee, that they were consenting to the Sale, to the end that their Portions might be paid; and that the Jointress, and all other Parties concerned, were willing thereunto; and that, when so much of the Lands were sold, as would pay the Debts and Portions, there would a fair Estate descend unto the Infant, who was not now at Age to give his Consent; and that the Committee was of Opinion, that the Bill should pass to enable the Sale for Payment of Debts and Portions, which otherwise would eat up all the Estate.

And the said Amendment being thereupon twice read;

Resolved, That this House do agree with the Committee to the said Amendment.

And Ordered, That the said Bill, with the said Amendment, be ingrossed.

Hitcham's Charities.

A Bill for the settling and confirming of certain Manors and Lands, devised by Sir Robert Hitcham Knight, to certain charitable Uses, was this Day read the First time.

Resolved, That this Bill be read again the Second time on Thursday next.

Westlow Writ.

Sir John Nicholas, Knight of the Bath, being chosen as a Citizen for Winchester, and Burgess for Port Pigham, alias Westlowe, in the County of Cornwall, waved his Election as to the said Borough of Port Pigham, alias Westlow:

Ordered, That Mr. Speaker do make a Warrant to the Clerk of the Crown, to issue out a Writ for the Election of a new Burgess for the said Borough of Port Pighim, alias Westlow, in the Place of Sir John Nicholas.

Mountgomery Election.

Serjeant Charleton reports from the Committee for Privileges and Elections, touching the Return for the Town of Mountgomery, That John Blaney Esquire was returned a Burgess in one Indenture, by the Burgesses; and John Purcell Esquire in another Indenture, by the Mayor and Burgesses; and the Opinion of the Committee, that the said Mr. Purcell, being returned by the proper Officer, should sit, till the Merits of the Cause touching the said Return should be determined.

And the Question being put, That this House did agree with the said Committee, that the said Mr. Purcell should sit in this House, till the Merits of the Cause touching the said Return should be determined;

Preston Election.

Serjeant Charlton made Report from the Committee of Privileges and Elections, touching the Return for the Borough of Preston, That Edward Rigby Esquire, and Geofrey Rishton Esquire, were returned in one Indenture; and the said Mr. Rigby and Mr. Fift in another Indenture by * *; and the Opinion of the Committee, that the said Mr. Rishton, being returned by the proper Officer, should sit, till the Merits of the Cause should be determined;

Resolved, That this House doth agree with the said Committee, that the said Mr. Rishton doth sit in this House, till the Merits of the Cause be determined.

Securing King's Person.

Mr. Lowther, being sent up to the Lords with the Order for a Day of Humiliation: and to desire a Conference with the Lords, touching the Amendments in the Bill for preserving the King; made Report, that he had acquainted the Lords with both the said Particulars; and that the Lords concurred with this House, to move the King for a Day of Humiliation; and the Lords had yielded to a present Conference in the Painted Chamber.
