Restoring Wadeson.
ORDERED, That Mr. Milward, Sir John Talbot,
Mr. Walden, Sir John Terrill, and Sir Clement Fisher,
be added to the Committee to which the Bill concerning
Mr. Wadeson is committed.
Resolved, &c. That the Committee to whom the Bill
concerning Mr. Wadeson is committed, have Leave to
meet this Afternoon, notwithstanding the Sitting of the
other publick Committees; in order only to adjourn to a
further Day.
Willoughby's, &c. Nat.
A Bill for naturalizing of George Willoughby Gentleman, and several other Persons, was this Day read the
Second time.
Resolved, &c. That this Bill be committed to the same
Committee to which the former Bill for Naturalizing was
committed: And the said Committee is, for that Purpose,
revived: And these Persons following are added to the
Committee; viz. Colonel Kirkby, Mr. Daniell, Mr. Lowther, Sir Lanc. Lake, Mr. Mountague, Mr. Newton, Mr.

Privilege.
Upon Consideration had of a Petition presented on the
Behalf of George Wither, now Prisoner in the Tower;
Ordered, That Elizabeth, the Wife of George Withers,
have Leave to have Access to her Husband in the Tower,
in order to bring from him his Recantation and Submission, for his Misdemeanor and Offence for which he was
committed.
Northampton Election.
Serjeant Charlton reports from the Committee of Privileges and Elections, in the Case between Sir William
Dudley and Mr. Christopher Hatton, touching the Election
for the Town of Northampton, That the Question was
Whether the Mayor, Aldermen, and Forty-eight, had
the sole Power of Election: And that the Committee was
of Opinion, That the Voices in Election do not belong
to the Mayor, Aldermen, and Forty-eight only: And
that Sir Wm. Dudley was not duly elected, but Mr.
Hatton was duly elected.
Resolved, &c. That this House doth agree with the
Committee, That Mr. Christopher Hatton was duly elected
for the Town of Northampton, and ought to sit.
Ordered, That the Clerk of the Crown, or his Deputy,
do attend with the Indenture, by which Sir William Dudley was returned; to the end the same may be amended.
And the Clerk of the Crown's Deputy, attending at
the Door with the Indenture, was called in: And, at the
Clerk's Table, the Indenture was amended; and the
Name of Sir William Dudley razed out, and the Name
of Mr. Christopher Hatton inserted into the Indenture.
Militia.
The additional Bill for the better settling the Forces
in the several Counties of this Kingdom, was this Day
read the Second time.
Resolved, &c. That the said Bill be committed to a
Committee of the whole House; and that the Committee
have Power to receive any Proposals which shall be made
for the more effectual Settling the Militia; and to report
to the House such Amendments and Additions as they
shall find necessary for that Purpose.
And then the House resolved itself into a Committee
of the whole House, to proceed on the said Bill.
Mr. Speaker left the Chair.
Mr. Milward took the Chair of the Committee.
Mr. Speaker reassumed the Chair.
Mr. Milward reports, That the Committee had made
some Progress in the said Bill; and the Opinion of the
Committee, That the House, on Saturday next, at Ten
of the Clock in the Morning, would again resolve itself
into a Committee of the whole House, to proceed in the
said Bill.
Resolved, &c. That the House, on Saturday next, at
Ten of the Clock in the Morning, would again resolve
itself into a Committee of the whole House, to proceed
in the said Bill.
Marq. of Winchester's Award.
Ordered, That the Petition of Sir George Coney be referred to the Committee to whom the Bill concerning the
Marquis of Winchester and Lord St. John is committed.
Vaughan's Claims.
Ordered, That Colonel Whitley and Sir Chichester
Wray, be added to the Committee to whom the Bill concerning Henry Vaughan Esquire is committed.
