A BILL to enable John Robinson to sell and dispose Lands, for Payment of Debts, and making Provision for his Wife, and younger Children, was read the First time.

Improving Wastes.

A Bill for Improvement of Wastes was this Day read.

Marq. of Winchester's Award.

A Petition of the Lord Edward Paulet was this Day read.

Resolved, &c. That this Petition be referred to the same Committee to which the Bill for confirming an Award, made by his Majesty, for settling the Differences between the Lord Marquis of Winchester, and the Lord St. John, was committed.

Steward, be added to the Committee to which the Matter concerning the Post Office and Wine Licence is committed.

Merchants Bills, &c.

A Bill for enabling Merchants, and others, to assign Bills and Bonds, and to prevent Abuses in Shop Books and Contracts, was this Day read the First time.

Admiralty Jurisdiction.

The House did then resume the Debate upon the Bill for settling the Jurisdiction of the Admiralty.-

Writs of Error.

A Message from the Lords, by Sir Thomas Bird and Sir Mundeford Brampston;

Mr. Speaker, The Lords have sent you down an ingrossed Bill, intituled, An Act for preventing of Abatements of Writs of Error, upon Judgments in the Exchequer: To which they desire the Concurrence of this House: And have commanded us to acquaint you, That they intend to adjourn on Tuesday next, till the Wednesday- fortnight following.-

Admiralty Jurisdiction.

The House then proceeded in the Debate of the Bill touching the Jurisdiction of the Admiralty.

Resolved, &c. That a Committee be appointed to prepare and bring in a Bill upon the Debates of the House, against their next Meeting after the Recess, for the expediting Maritime and Merchants Causes; viz.
