A BILL to enable John Robinson to sell and dispose
Lands, for the Payment of Debts, and the making
Provision for his Wife, and younger Children, was this
Day read the Second time.
Resolved, &c. That this Bill be committed to Mr.

Hertford, &c. Roads.
Mr. Crouch reports from the Committee to which the
Bill for repairing the Highways in the Counties of
Hertford, Cambridge, and Huntington, was committed,
several Amendments to be made, and Two Provisoes to
be added, to the Bill: Which he read, with the Coherence, in his Place; and after, delivered the same in at
the Clerk's Table.
The several Amendments, precedent to the Amendment unto the Third Line of the One-and-twentieth Folio,
were twice read; and, upon the Question, agreed to.
The said Amendment, being to leave out the Proviso,
was read the Second time.
The Question being put, To agree to the Amendment;
It passed in the Negative.
The last Amendment was read the Second time; and,
upon the Question, agreed to.
The First Proviso was read twice.
Resolved, &c. That the said Proviso be agreed to.
The Second Proviso was read the Second time.
Resolved, &c. That the Words "and be it Enacted"
be inserted after the Word "provided."
Resolved, &c. That the Proviso, so amended, be
agreed to.
The Question being put, That the Bill, with the
Amendments and Provisoes agreed to, be ingrossed;

And so it was resolved in the Affirmative, That the
Bill, with the Amendments and Provisoes agreed to, be
ingrossed.
Oxford Writ.
Ordered, That Mr. Speaker do issue his Warrant to
the Clerk of the Crown, to make out a Writ for the
Election of a Knight for the County of Oxon, in the
Room of the Lord Falkland, deceased.
Excise Revenue.
Whereas it hath been represented to this House, that
whilst the Inspection of the Excise is before a Committee,
who are impowered to examine the best Way that his
Majesty's Duty thereupon be duly paid, according to the
Act of Parliament, and with the most Ease to the People, some Persons take occasion, by colour thereof, to
forbear to make their just Payments: This House declares, That, if any Persons refuse to make their Payments, the Justices of the Peace, and all other his Majesty's Officers, in the several Counties, are to be aiding
and assisting to the Farmers and Commissioners of Excise
in the Levying thereof, according to the Law.
Deane Forest.
Ordered, That the Word "Timber" be omitted, in
the Order of Yesterday, concerning Deane Forest.
Profaneness, &c.
Ordered, That Sir Henry Worsley do prepare, and
bring in, a Bill at the next Meeting of the House, against
Profaneness, Licentiousness, and Impiety.
Call of the House.
Ordered, That the House be Called over on Mondayfortnight, upon Pain of Five Pounds to be paid by every
Member, that shall be then absent, whose Excuse the
House shall not allow.
