Jeremy's Estate.
A BILL for the Sale of certain Manors and Lands, for
Payment of the Debts, and raising Portions for the
Children of John Jeremy Esquire, deceased, was read the
Second time.
Resolved, &c. That the Bill be committed to Sir Clifford
Clifton, Lord Richardson, Sir Lanc. Lake, Mr. Westphaling, Mr. Peipes, Sir Nicho. Slaning, Sir Thomas Tompkins, Sir Anthony Irby, Sir James Thyn, Mr. Pryn, Sir
Robert Brookes, Sir Edmund Windham, Col. Williams,
Mr. George Probert, Sir John Brampston, Sir Francis

Repairing Highways.
Upon a Report, made by Sir Charles Harbord, from
the Committee to which the Bill concerning Highways is
committed;
Resolved, &c. That the Committee to which the Bill
concerning Highways is committed, have Power to bring
in a Clause, to lay a Tax, to be assessed by publick Order
of Sessions, for repairing the Highways in such Places
where there is most need; and that they do also hear
what can be offered as to Baughton Hill in Kent; and,
if it be extraparochial, and not chargeable, then to consider of a Clause to make it liable, by the Bill, to contribute
towards Highways.
Horton Inclosure.
A Bill for inclosing certain Coppices belonging to the
Manor of Horton in the County of Gloucester, for Preservation and Increase of Wood and Timber was read the
First time.
Resolved, &c. That this Bill be read the Second time
on Monday next.

A Bill to prevent Thefts and Robberies was read the
Second time.

Bishop of Durham's Leasing.
A Message from the Lords, by Sir William Child and
Sir Justinian Lewen;
Mr. Speaker, The Lords have returned you a Bill, intituled, An Act to enable John Lord Bishop of Durham,
and his Successors, to make Leases, for Three Lives,
of certain Lead Mines; with some Amendments; to
which they desire the Concurrence of this House.
Cheats on the King.
Ordered, That it be referred to Colonel Sands, Sir Tho.
Bludworth, and Mr. Love, to make further Inquiry after
Cheats on his Majesty; and to assure such Persons, as
shall make any considerable Discoveries of any Frauds, or
Cheats on his Majesty, that they shall have the Protection of this House, and shall not be prejudiced by making
such Discoveries.
Public Accompts.
The House then proceeded on the further Consideration of the Amendments to the Bill of Accompts.
The Amendment to the 24th Line of the 5th Folio
being debated;
Resolved, &c. That there be a limited Sum appointed
for Officers and Clerks.
Resolved, &c. That the Blank be filled up with "Two
thousand Pounds."
Some Debates being had upon the Amendment, as to
the Title of the Bill, and naming Commissioners;
Ordered, That the further Debate of this Matter be
adjourned till Monday Morning; and that the Bill, with
the Amendments, be transcribed against that Time.
General Naturalization Bill.
Ordered, That the Bill of the general Naturalization
be read on Thursday next, at Ten of the Clock.
