Prayers.

BEvill Skelton Esquire, and Francis Hamond Esquire, did this Day take the Oaths of Allegiance, and Supremacy, before the Speaker, at the Clerk's Table, in order to their Naturalization.

Dean of St. Paul's House.

A Bill to enable the Dean of St. Paul's Church to build a Mansion-house for himself and his Successors, was read the First time.

Resolved, &c. That this Bill be read the Second time on this Day Sevennight.

Childstealing.

Ordered, That a Bill be brought in to make it Felony to steal and carry away Children, or other Persons, beyond the Seas: And it is recommended to Sir John Birkenhead and Sir Charles Harbord, to bring in the Bill.

Poor Laws.

Ordered, That a Committee be appointed to consider of the Laws which do relate to the Poor, or Cottagers, Inmates, and the Wages of Servants and Labourers, and keeping the Poor at Work, and providing for them; and see wherein they may be altered, and enlarged, and report it, with their Opinions therein, to the House; viz. Sir Thom. Lee, Sir Charl. Harbord, Sir Anth. Irby, Sir Thom. Gower, Sir Phil. Musgrave, Sir Hen. Yelverton, Sir Wm. Coventry, Sir Jo. Northcott, Mr. Marvin, Mr. Pepis, Mr. Churchill, Mr. Street, Sir Humfry Winch, Mr. Waller, Sir Thom. Clergis, Col. Reames, Sir Wm. Hickman, Sir Jo. Knight, Mr. Buscawen, Lord Fanshaw, Sir Winston Churchill, Sir Jo. Ernly, Col. Birch, and all the Gentlemen of the Long Robe; or any three of them: And they are to consider of the Law made by this Parliament for Relief of the Poor; and if they find any Defects or Mistakes in it, to report it to the House: And to meet Tomorrow at Two of the Clock in the Afternoon, in the Speaker's Chamber: And to send for Persons, Papers, and Records.

Committees.

Resolved, &c. That all Committees which are discontinued, be revived; and do sit this Afternoon at Two of the Clock, in the Places formerly appointed.

Regulating Elections.

Ordered, That a Bill be prepared and brought in to prevent Abuses and Extravagancies in electing Members to serve in Parliament; and for regulating Elections: And it is referred to Sir Charles Harbord, Sir Thom. Lee, Sir Robert Howard, Mr. Jo. Fowell, Sir Hen. Finch, Mr. Seymour, Sir Ant. Irby, Sir Thom. Meeres, Mr. Garraway, Sir Walter Young, Mr. Buscawen, Col. Sands, Mr. Coleman, Sir Jo. Newton, Sir Robert Atkins; or any Three of them: And it is recommended to the Care of Sir Thomas Lee and Sir Robert Atkins: And they are to meet To-morrow at Two of the Clock in the Afternoon, in the Speaker's Chamber.

Call of the House.

The House then proceeded to the Calling over the several Members, according to former Order:

Resolved, &c. That the Names of the Defaulters be called over again this Day Fortnight.

Resolved, &c. That no Member depart the Service of this House, without Leave being first asked, after Ten of the Clock in the Morning.

And then the House adjourned till To-morrow Morning, Eight of the Clock.
