Prayers.

Privilege.

MR. Speaker reports the Case of Robert Hume, Servant to Sir John Prettyman, arrested, and in the Prison of the King's Bench: That he was heretofore a Merchant, but left off his Trade about Five Years since; and that in August last he was entertained a Servant to Sir John Prettyman, at Twelve Pound per Annum Wages; and was employed in recovering his Rents; and was arrested in Four several Actions of the Case of a hundred Pound apiece.

The Question being put, That Privilege be allowed to Robert Humes, as menial Servant to Sir John Prettiman;

Beckham's Estate.

Mr. Steward reports from the Committee to which the Bill for Sale of Lands for Payment of the Debts, and raising Portions for the younger Children, of John Beckham, was committed, some Amendments to be made to the said Bill: Which he read, with the Coherence, in his Place; and after delivered the same in at the Clerk's Table: Which, being twice read, were, upon the Question, agreed to.

Resolved, &c. That the Bill, with the Amendments, be ingrossed.

Privilege-Suing a Member.

Resolved, That John Stone, Attorney for Mr. Richard Thomas, be sent for in Custody of the Serjeant at Arms attending this House, to Answer his Breach of Privilege, in suing Mr. Humfry Orme, a Member of this House, to the Exigent, whilst he is attending the Service of this House.

Conquest's Estate.

A Bill to enable a Sale of Land for Payment of a Debt of Two thousand Four hundred Pounds, of Colonel Conquest, was read the Second time.

Resolved, &c. That the Bill be committed to Sir Solom. Swale, Sir John Lowther, Mr. Crouch, Sir Lanc. Lake, Col. Whitley, Col. Reames, Sir Jo. Malet, Mr. Orme, Sir Fran. Goodrick, Sir Humfry Winch, Sir Jo. Talbott, Mr. Mainard, Mr. Robarts, Sir Wm. Coventry, Sir Edw. Phillips, Sir Jo. Rous, Sir Phill. Musgrave, Col. Windham, Mr. Milward, Sir Anth. Irby, Sir Charles Harbord, Sir Clifford Clifton, Sir Thom. Gower, Sir Jo. Knight, Sir Walter St. John, Col. Phillips, Mr. Seymour, Mr. Wren, Sir Robert Carr, Mr. Edw. Phillips, Mr. Ferrers, and all the Members that serve for the Counties of Bedford and Gloucester: And they are to meet on Tuesday next, at Two of the Clock in the Afternoon, in the Speaker's Chamber: And to send for Persons, Papers, and Records.

Committee of Elections.

Ordered, That Mr. Robert Robarts be added to the Committee of Elections.

Lady Prettiman's Petition.

A Petition of Dame Theodosia Prettiman was read.

Ordered, That a Committee be appointed to examine the Matter of the Petition; and report it, with their Opinions therein, to the House; viz. Mr. Crouch, Sir Fran. Goodrick, Mr. Buscawen, Sir Gilbert Talbott, Sir Lanc. Lake, Sir Solom. Swale, Sir Jo. Birkenhead, Sir Anth. Irby, Lord Ancram, Mr. Morice, Sir Jo. Bennet, Sir Jo. Knight, Mr. Seymour, Mr. Waller, Serj. Mainard, Sir Jo. Talbott, Sir Clifford Clifton, Sir Wm. Lowther, Sir Jo. Malet, Mr. Newport, Sir Thom. Gower, Mr. Lovelace, Sir Charles Harbord, Mr. Herbert, Colonel Reames, Mr. Pleydall, Lord Richardson, Mr. Robarts, Mr. Orme, and all the Gentlemen of the Long Robe: And they are to meet on Monday next at Two of the Clock in the Afternoon in the Speaker's Chamber: And to send for Persons, Papers, and Records.

New Business.

Ordered, That from henceforth no new Business be received or entertained before the Day of the Recess of the House.

Call of the House.

Resolved, That the House be called over on this Day Sevennight: And the House will then resolve of the Punishment of the present Defaulters; as also of such as shall neglect their Duty in attending the Service of the House for the future, after the Recess.

The Question being put, That all Committees but this last appointed be adjourned;

And then the House adjourned till Monday Morning, Eight of the Clock.
