Die Lunæ, 6 Decembris, 1669.

Prayers.

Peter van Ruyfen did this Day take the Oaths of Allegiance and Supremacy, in order to his Naturalization.

Lostwithiell Writ.

Ordered, That Mr. Speaker do certify the Lord Keeper of the Great Seal of England of the Death of John Bulteele Esquire, who lately served as a Member of this House for the Borough of Lostwithiell in the County of Cornwall, desiring him, that a Writ may issue forth under the Great Seal for a new Election of a Member to serve in this present Parliament in his place and stead.

Heron's Estate.

Ordered, That the Bill for Sir Cutbert Heron be read To-morrow Morning.

Wey Navigation.

Ordered, That the Committee concerning the River Wey do forbear sitting for Ten Days.

Williamson's Estate.

Ordered, That the Bill of Sir Thomas Williamson be read To-morrow Morning.

Dean of St. Paule's House.

Ordered, That the Bill for enabling the Dean of St. Paule's to build a Mansion-house, be read To-morrow Morning.

Lady Lee's Estate.

An ingrossed Bill for settling the Differences between the Lady Eliz. Lee, and the Coheirs of Sir Thomas Pope lately Earl of Downe, was read.

Resolved, &c. That the said Bill do pass: And the Title shall be, An Act for settling the Differences between the Lady Eliz. Lee, and the Coheirs of Sir Thomas Pope late Earl of Downe.

Bancks' Estate.

An ingrossed Bill for confirming the Estate of Sir Ralph Bancks in the Manor of Thisbesket, was read.

Resolved, &c. That the said Bill do pass: And the Title shall be, An Act for confirming the Estate of Sir Ralph Bancks in the Manor of Thisbesket.

Supply.

The House resolved into a Committee of the whole House, to take into Consideration his Majesty's Supply.

Mr. Speaker left the Chair.
Mr. Seymour took the Chair of the Committee.
Mr. Speaker resumed the Chair.

Mr. Seymour reports from the said Committee, That, they had made some further Progress in the Consideration of his Majesty's Supply; and came to this Resolution; viz. That the Duty that shall be imposed on Wines, towards the raising of Four hundred thousand Pounds for an Aid to his Majesty, shall be paid at the Custom-house by the Importer; and that the House would resolve into a Committee again on Thursday Morning next, to proceed in the further Consideration of his Majesty's Supply.

Resolved, &c. That this House doth agree with the Committee, that the Duty that shall be imposed on Wines, towards the Raising the Four hundred thousand Pounds for an Aid to his Majesty, shall be paid at the Custom-house, by the Importer.

Resolved, &c. That the House will resolve into a Committee of the whole House, on Thursday Morning next, to proceed in the further Consideration of his Majesty's Supply.

Publick Accounts.

The House being informed, that the Commissioners for taking the publick Accounts were at the Door; they were called in: And, by the Hands of Colonel Osborne, delivered in an Abstract of Accounts by them received from the Commissioners for the new Imposition on Wines and other imported Liquors; as likewise an Abstract of Accounts received from the Farmers of his Majesty's Customs of Wines entered at his Majesty's Custom-houses in London, and Out Ports.

The said Commissioners being withdrawn;

Ordered, That the said Commissioners be desired to give in to this House an Estimate of the Value this new Imposition on Wines and other Imported Liquors would have amounted unto, in case the Duty had been truly collected; as also an Account of the Frauds and Cheats they have observed in the Collection of the said Duty, on Thursday Morning next; when this House will be ready to receive the same, and what further they have to offer thereunto.

And then the House adjourned till To-morrow Morning, Eight of the Clock.
