Highways.

SIR Thomas Clergis reports Reasons, agreed by the Committee, to be offered at the Conference to be had with the Lords, upon the Amendments to the Bill for repairing Highways: Which were approved by the House:

And Sir Thomas Clergis is to desire a Conference with the Lords therein.

Lady Southhampton's Estate.

Sir Phillipp Warwicke reports from the Committee to which the Matter of the Preamble to the Bill on the Behalf of the Countess of Southampton was committed, That the Committee had agreed to another Preamble, instead of the Preamble sent from the Lords, to make the Inducement, and the enacting Clauses of the Bill agree: Which was thrice read; and, upon the Question, agreed; and the Preamble and Provisoes ordered to be ingrossed.

Pyrates.

Mr. Solicitor General reports from the Committee to which the Clause brought in to be added to the Bill to prevent the Delivery of Merchant Ships to Pyrates, was re-committed, some Amendments, agreed by the Committee to be made to the Clause: Which he read, with the Coherence; and delivered the same in at the Clerk's Table: Which Amendments, being twice read, were all, upon the Question, severally agreed, except the Amendment to the twenty-fourth, twenty-fifth, and twenty-sixth Lines of the Proviso, for leaving out the Clause of Disability; which Amendment was, upon the Question, disagreed: And so the Clause to stand in the Bill with the Addition of these Words, "until he shall be restored by his Majesty," after the Word "Service," in the twenty-sixth Line of the Proviso: Which was agreed, upon the Question, and inserted in the Proviso, with the other Amendments agreed.

Resolved, &c. That the Proviso, so amended, be agreed to.

Fee-farm Rents.

Mr. Solicitor General reports from the Committee to which the Bill for advancing the Sale of Fee-farm Rents, and other Rents, was committed, some Amendments agreed by the Committee to be made to the Bill: Which he read, with the Coherence; and delivered the same in at the Clerk's Table: Which were twice read; and, upon the Question, severally agreed.

A Proviso relating to Mills, was tendered, and twice read; and, being read the Third time, passed.

The Question being put, That the Bill do pass;

So it was resolved in the Affirmative, that the Bill do pass: And that the Title be, An Act for advancing the Sale of Fee-farm Rents, and other Rents:

And That Mr. Solicitor General do carry up the Bill to the Lords.

Bishop of Rochester's Charities.

Ordered, That these Members following be added to the Committee to which the Bill for settling the charitable Uses of the late Bishop of Rochester was committed:

Ordered, That the Report upon the Petition of Mrs Humes be made To-morrow Morning.
