Coal Trade.

A BILL for the Ease and Encouragement of the Coal Trade, was read.

Resolved, &c. That this Bill be read a Second time, after Ten of the Clock in the Morning, on this Day Sevennight.

Awbrey's Estate.

A Bill to enable Mr. Awbrey's Trustees to sell Lands, was read.

Resolved, &c. That this Bill be read a Second time.

Duresme Election Franchise.

A Motion being made, for Mr. Speaker to issue his Warrant to the Clerk of the Crown, for making out Writs to elect Two Members to serve for the Town and Corporation of Duresme;

But some Doubt arising upon the Act of Parliament by which the Town claim a Right of sending Members to serve in Parliament;

Resolved, &c. That the Consideration of the Case of the Corporation of Durham, in reference to the Right by them claimed to send Members to serve in Parliament, by virtue of an Act of this present Parliament, be referred to the Committee of Privileges and Elections; to inspect the Act of Parliament; and to report the State of the Matter, with their Opinions, to the House.

Williams' Jointures.

An ingrossed Bill to enable Sir Trevor Williams, and his Sons, to make Jointures for their Wives, was read the Third time.

Resolved, &c. That this Bill do pass: And that the Title be, An Act to enable Sir Trevor Williams Baronet, and his Four Sons, to make Jointures to their respective Wives.

Ordered, That Mr. Eyres do carry up the said Bill to the Lords for their Concurrence.

Duke of Norfolke.

Sir John Trevor reports from the Committee to whom the Petition of Edward Howard and others, was referred, the State of the Case, as to Matter of Fact contained in the said Petition, and the Evidence thereupon: And that the Committee, upon Consideration thereof, had agreed a Resolve or Vote to be reported to the House: Which he read in his Place; and afterwards, delivered the same in at the Clerk's Table: Where the same was again read; and is as followeth:

Resolved, &c. That it is the Opinion of this Committee, that the House be moved, That an humble Address be made to his Majesty, that the Duke of Norfolke may be brought home into England from his Confinement beyond Sea.

And Mr. Onslow, a Member of this House, one of the Guardians of the said Duke of Norfolke, desiring to be heard at the Bar of this House, before the Question be put for agreeing with the Committee.

Resolved, That Mr. Onslow be heard by his Counsel, at the Bar of this House, to the Matters suggested in the said Petition, which do relate to him, as Guardian to the said Duke, on Wednesday next.

Supply.

Resolved, &c. That this House will, on Monday Morning next, at Ten of the Clock, resolve into a Committee of the whole House, to consider of the Motion for a further Supply to His Majesty.

Grievances.

Resolved, &c. That this House will, on Tuesday Morning next, at Ten of the Clock, resolve into a Committee of the whole House, to consider of Grievances.

Committees.

Ordered, That all Committees which are discontinued, be revived; and do sit this Afternoon at Two of the Clock, in the Places formerly appointed.

And then the House adjourned till To-morrow Morning, Eight of the Clock.
