Coal Trade:

ORDERED, That the Bill for encouraging the Coal Trade be read a Second time, on Thursday next, after Ten of the Clock.

Cirencester Writs.

A Bill, sent from the Lords, intituled, An Act for confirming an Agreement, concerning the Execution and Return of Writs, within the Seven Hundreds of Cirencester in the County of Glocester, was read.

Resolved, &c. That this Bill be read a Second time.

Fire in South wark.

A Bill to erect a Judicature, to determine Differences touching Houses burnt down, and new Buildings erected in the room of them, was read the Second time.

Resolved, &c. That this Bill be committed to Sir Tho. Clargis, Sir Richard Ford, Sir Edm. Windham, Sir Cha. Harbord, Sir Geo. Downing, Sir Fran. Clarke, Sir Anth. Irby, Sir Row. Berkeley, Mr. Eyres, Sir Tho. Bludworth, Sir Hen. Ford, Mr. Crowch, Mr. Serj. Maynard, Mr. Clarke, Sir Adam Browne, Sir Lanc. Lake, Sir John Frederick, Sir John Robinson, Mr. Wynn, Mr. Wright, Mr. Westphaling, Sir Sam. Barnardiston, Mr. Culliford, Colonel Byrch, Sir John Elwayes, Mr. Williams, Sir Wm. Doyley, Sir Edm. Bowyer, Lord Ancram, Mr. Dalmahoy, Sir John Holman, Sir John Trevor, Sir Edward Masters, Sir John Knight, Sir John Barnaby, Mr. Chetwyn, Mr. Linfeild, Mr. Wood, Mr. Progers, Sir Trevor Williams, Sir John Moreton, Mr. Child, Mr. Morris, Sir Tho. Littleton, Sir Richard Francklyn, Lord O Brian, Mr. Maynard, and all the Members of this House, that serve for the City of Westminster, and for the County of Surrey, and the Boroughs thereof: And they are to meet on Monday next, at Two of the Clock in the Afternoon, in the Speaker's Chamber: And are impowered to send for Persons, Papers, and Records.

Answer to Address.

Mr. Speaker reports, That, according to the Order and Command of the House, he had attended his Majesty, in presenting the Address; and, that the Lord Chancellor having introduced it with a short Preface, and then read it, his Majesty was pleased to return his Answer, to this Effect:

My Lords and Gentlemen,

I AM of the Opinion of My Two Houses of Parliament, that the Conservation of Flanders is of great Importance to England; and therefore, I assure you, I will use all Means for the Preservation of Flanders, that can possibly consist with the Peace and Safety of the Kingdom.

Privilege- Petition from a person in custody.

A Petition of Thomas Sturmy, an Attorney at Law, committed for a Contempt, and Breach of Privilege, was read: But the Petitioner not acknowledging the Offence;

The Question being put, That Mr. Sturmy be discharged upon this Petition;

It passed in the Negative.

Leave of Absence.

Ordered, That Sir William Wentworth have the Leave of the House to go into the Country, to attend a Tryal at the Assizes.

Suppressing Popery.

Ordered, That the Two Bills, sent from the Lords, which relate to the suppressing of Popery, be read, the one upon Monday, and the other upon Tuesday next.

Hearth Money.

Ordered, That the Bill for regulating the Abuses in collecting the Duty of Hearth Money be read on Thursday Morning next.

Committees.

Ordered, That all Committees, which are discontinued, be revived; and do sit this Afternoon in the Places formerly appointed.

Exporting Leather.

Ordered That the Report of the Bill for reviving and continuing the Act for Exportation of Leather be heard on Tuesday Morning next, at Nine of the Clock.

Supply Bill; building Ships,

Ordered, That the Bill for the King's Supply of Six hundred thousand Pounds, for the building and furnishing of Ships, be read the Second time on Monday Morning next.

Grievances.

Resolved, &c. That this House will, on Saturday Morning next, at Ten of the Clock, resolve into a Committee of the whole House, to consider of Grievances.

Harrington's Petition.

The House then resumed the Consideration of the Petition of Mr. Harrington, and the Debate thereupon.

Mr. Harrington being called in to the Bar; and owning the Petition; and being examined;

And being withdrawn;

One Harriott being also called in, was likewise examined:

And being withdrawn;

One Murray being also called in; and examined;

And being withdrawn;

The said Murray and Harriott were again called in together; and examined.

Committees.

Ordered, That all Committees which were to sit this Afternoon, be adjourned.

And then the House adjourned till Monday Morning, Eight of the Clock.
